I’m not looking for great anti-tank capabilities here I’m just looking for something with enough pen to kill lightly armoured vehicles like IFV’s or SAM launchers.
Then yea. It should reach at least 30mm of pen
It uses 40x53 cartridges so the best you can get is M430a1 with up to 76mm of pen
Aren’t the automatic grenade launchers that are currently on a couple of tanks in game generally considered pretty worthless?
I think the 40mm grenade launcher can use HEDP or High Explosive Dual Purpose
Maybe as little less effective as a apache’s gun
They use pure he or fragment, so they do no damage. Hedp has shaped charge so it can pen things

Correction. It also uses Hedp, so it would be the same or more effective

Depends on the velocity of the shell, the characteristics of 30mm vs 40mm, etc
Two completely different weapon systems so i’d be surprised if they were like for like
