Swear they said the other day theres no evidence to support the abrams getting upgraded turret armour IRl, and then today they have gotten the better armour? Yet we here with all this evidence just for a little bit if extra pen and get denied for 2 years.

Fun fact, the Black Knights APS is slightly busted ATM, it will OCCASIONALLY stop APFSDS.

Another early MBT-80 test bed, with composite on a similar turret.
Because the Mk10 chieftain was created after the CR1 which had the l23 developed for it. the Shir 2 is nearly a decade older than that.
The shir 2 was not unveiled in 1980, it was specifically being made for the Shah of Iran before the revolution which last i checked was .78 not 80.
Shir 2 and all other chieftains should get access to the L15A5 round, which if you are aware of was actually that good a round it was in service up until the L23A1 replaced it.
Which is nearly 2 decades.
and the Shir 2 didn’t fire it, was never actually touted to have fired it, nor tested it. Was advertised as APDS it could fire.
Because the L15A5 should have mre pen, but yes it would be betterat 9.3 than 10.0 lol, at 10.0 it’s armour becomes near irrelevant.
I actually only use it with the L15A5 round.
it’s not a challanger and it’s pretty poor at 10.0. It’s just it’s used be 1. good players ad 2, it got meaty stats from when it was spammed at a lower BR

I’ve had it happen at point blank before, its actually given me enough time to get my gunner back, or reload in a pinch on those werid edge cases where it actually does that.

The Stats are a fallacy.
its a very rare tank, that only Good players play.
The same things have befallen many a British tank.
If you just blindly follow the stats things like the Black Prince should be like 7.0.
Its not a good tank, but only good players play it, Making the stats be inflated far past what they actually should be if more people had access to the vehicle, and played it regularly.
Thats the problem with all Minor Tech Tree’s, their tanks are medicore, but since no one plays them, Gaijin only has the stats of the few good players that still play them.

Its good but at 10.0 there are substantially better vehicles.
The issue is its based off of a Chieftain, so should not have some of the tbings it does, primarily the APFSDS

Passed to devs does not necessarily confirm where a vehicle will be going.
If added, I imagine it will end up coming to both nations (UK and Germany) just like vehicles such as the DF105 where two nations lay an equally reasonable claim to them
Point still stands, its played by not many who play it well. I am at no point saying its baf.
yeah so does the taiwanese M1A2T and the M1A1 AIM and a bunch of other tanks in this game but your not complaining about them
the only 10.0 i can think of thats better is the leopard 2k (which never used dm23 btw)
M1A1 AIM? how is that A historical using the KEW?
SAme with teh M1A2T; the Tawaianese used that last i checked.
Leopard 2K was tested with 23 mate, the 2A4 is also lacking more modern munitions.
AMX40 is better than the Shir 2,
The Sabra mk1 is also way better.

TTD is also better.
DM63, better composites, gen 2 thermals, better mobility as well.
I do complain about them, a lot.
I don’t like how they just blanket add random munitions to tanks to try justify BRs it’s poor as hell.

10.3 and also not better at all, you get an m1a1 turret sure but your on an m60 chassis so your slow nd cant take any hits
Wasn’t it limited to the A1 initially or some bogus malarky or am I getting the two mixed up due to australia wnating to retain the penetration values of the US round.
That I didn’t know and yeah it should completely lose it then no questions asked.
Historically in the game if the tank is tested with it, it can use it.
Though if it never was trailed with it or what not it should by all means lose it, not as if DM13 for the 2K is not absolutely banging anyways.
better cannon? It’s got an L/55 cannon with higher penetration, substantially better mobility than the Shir 2, thermals, 20mm auto cannon and better overall performance.
it’s got access to a 600 pen round with a 5 second reload mate, the hulls not that big an issue
It’s still better than a shir2 though.
My bad i was thinking of the amx 32 not the 40 but i still prefer the shir 2
its also terribly slow and it is definitely not better than the shir 2 for its br
