If they made that change then most Russian MBTs would be cheese, which I would love, but gaijin would hate

I dont see it happening even if its realistic

Yeah, I agree with this. Though it’s a shame they didn’t fix the rest (or at least some) of the internal damage model at the same time:

  • spall liners
  • crew positions
  • ammo racks (especially remvoing the rounds on the OES/TES)
  • boiling vessel
  • etc etc

Yeah, hopefully they work on a bunch of the fixes.

Pretty sure a guy with a funny name like Morvran_ did a post on it, listing some of the more egregious bugs still awaiting fixing for challenger 2 here ;)

One can hope that they look at these and try to get as many of them ironed out for the next update as possible, but until then I really hope this gets more attention.

Looks like they just buffed Relikt it is now live on the dev…Those poor guys at 10.7 being made to face BMP-Ts…good luck

Both KE and Chem effective thickness of Relikt has been buffed…

KE Protection from 170% to 225%
Chemical protection from 775% to 900%

And the inner Relict plates have been buffed from 500mm to 600mm for Chemical protection.

That anti-ERA round buff lasted long lads.

If you mean in the sev server. That was K5 if i remember right not relikt

nope, its Relikt… Basically, both the BMPT’s got buffed, the T-90m’s and the BVM. ((just watched TEC’s livestream where he showed it.))

K5 actualy got a nerf

Now these rounds will at least be able to penetrate Kontakt V armoured tanks.

eg. T80U, T80UE1, T72B3, T90A, T80UD, T72B3A etc…

So while you still cannot pen Relikt armoured tanks easily, the general range of targets you can pen is much higher.

For the 11.7 Challenger 2s they mostly fought Kontakt V armoured tanks anyway, so it’s still a really nice buff.

edit: I spoke too soon.

Well, that certainly isn’t ideal.

This is pretty unreasonable considering that the UK literally acquired T80Us for testing while L27A1 was in development.

They claim that L27A1 doesn’t have any special means to combat ERA, yet it literally has a breakaway tip, so I have no clue what their logic is there.

So?

Gaijin has once again called it a Marketing lie?

Basically yes, they seem to think that Britain had no idea about Kontakt Vs actual capabilities, they genuinely believe that they just guessed the protection of Kontakt V for the requirement…

They have also closed the report entirely, so I can’t even provide additional information to them to attempt to argue against their ridiculous statements. I would have to make an entirely new report…

can we ask smin to re-open the report so you can add the additional info needed? i mean its common knowledge britain (anonymously) bought T80U from the soviets/russians to test K5

And so the dance begins…

I’ll probably have to wait untill Smin is active tomorrow to do so.

There are some sources I can think of that may be able to change their mind, but it’s just ridiculous I even need to provide them.

thiss shouldnt even be happening, america made M829A3 for the same purpose and they got there test T80S FROM THE UK so them saying we didnt have a tank with K5 to fire on is a direct lie from the bug report managers considering M829A3 is in game with anti era

Their argument makes zero sense, they are just being difficult as usual as they don’t want to buff the shell despite all available information pointing towards the report being correct.
