Well, that’s typical of gaijin (foreigners). They have such an extremely neglected reports section, failing to correct accepted reports, ignoring very important ones, and only looking for insignificant reports to fix. They fix one important issue and then forget they even did it. Don’t announce it too loudly, lest the devs find out and decide to revert it to how it was before.
im hoping they mean there going to give it a trunnion module like the T80S leopard abrams etc that might help with mantlet armour
Just so long as they don’t ‘fix’ it like they did with M735.

If that were true, we’d have had loads of fixes for the CR2 with the OES or the Harrier with the T10, AV-8B(NA) or AV-8S.

i dont doubt it as that report was made before the rework and theres a lot of prerework stuff that was fixed but the label wasnt changed
Afaik the trunnion pins should extend furthur out into the (currently) empty space within the mantlet.
Right now they only occupy the space within the turret cheeks, but as I said they should also extend into the mantlet itself.
The current trunnion is based off this image, where the pins aren’t actually fitted, hence the huge empty spaces either side of the gun.
I believe the pins should be more like this.
I hope I’m right, as if they have changed the mantlet in that way it could add quite a bit of armour to the mantlet.
The fact they say “will be fixed in the major update” infers they have actually made a new change, rather than them just adding a fixed label to an already fixed report.

Loads of reports take ages to get updated, even after fixed
They specifically state fixed in the major update, which seems to be saying this is a new change.
If they’d already fixed it and they were just changing the label, why state specifically it’s coming in the major update?
It could just be miscommunication between devs, but it seems to infer a new change.
Ive seen reports updated like that before, even though the fix was 3-6 months earlier. I think its probably someone just C&P the same repsonse through a load of and then closing them, without really payign attention to when the report was fixed

As of the recent updates they’ve been changing mantlets/trunnions to be their own unique piece of armour.
Same on the Russian tanks, Abrams, Type 10 etc… I imagine they may now have done the same on the Challenger 2.
The Type 10 was missing a lot of mantlet armour untill they made said change.
Like so, previously that trunnion piece was not there.
