Nah, that won’t come, nor will it come to the UK tree. it’s entirely rhinemetal’s own thing and all german tech as a private venture. ergo, should probably go there.
yeah i will agree with baron the challenger 130 altough its a solo venture from rheinmetall i think it fits in the UK tech tree for the reason that germany can get a KF51 wich means germany will still get a 130 mm base aswell not only the UK
Germany dosen’t need a new high tier tank, the UK does. Gaijin does take this into account, even if people try and say they don’t.
The tank is still basically just a Challenger 2 with a new gun, yes the turret is new but the CR3 TD turret (which I believe it is based on) shares a lot with the Challenger 2 turret.
The entire hull is British.
It never entered service with Germany, its just a prototype, so gaijin has no obligation to give it to Germany.
Britain has nothing to do with it either, Rhinemetal had some CR2s laying around and the turret is easier to modify than a Leopard turret. It should go to germany
You’d probably feel differently if it was the Leopard with the Royal Ordance improved L7 being suggested for the german tree
We already have a Leopard 2 ingame with a British gun, the 105mm L7A3 on the Leopard 2AV, I have no problem with that being in the German tree.
My point is at the end of the day it’s a Challenger 2, so Gaijin is probably going to give it to the Brits even even if was made by a German private company.
The Vickers Mk.7 we have in game was a british project, by a british company, goes to britain
The CR2 130 is a german project, by a german company, ergo should go to germany.
Simple as.
Vickers mk 7 was British project for the export market
Challenger 130mm was Rhinemetal going further then RBSL a BAE and Rhinemetal company which put a 130mm into a Challenger 2 ( The 2019 LEP to be exact which is the Challenger 3 TD in game) to show the UK what they could do with the Challenger 2
This game vehicles don’t go to nation just because they helped build it
