Challenger 2 MBT - Technical data and Discussion (Part 1)

Which is absurd. Instead of making a county’s domestic tank viable/good,

Gaijin is instead taking the route of simply throwing Leopards at every country because Leopards are the best all-round tank.

Most people don’t want Leopards in their tree. they want their domestic tanks to be usable.

Only the 130mm Chally can save us

Nah, that won’t come, nor will it come to the UK tree. it’s entirely rhinemetal’s own thing and all german tech as a private venture. ergo, should probably go there.

No, only one thing can make Britain meta at top tier. Just need to get a handful of kills for this:

If gaijin is looking for larger guns for all nations, the 130 TD will likely go to the UK and Germany would get the KF51 Panther with the same gun.

Hi, is there any information why the side ERA on the Cr2OES is worse than on the TES?

Just gaijin things

Its only visual. They both are 30KE/500CE

Okay, thank you.

yeah i will agree with baron the challenger 130 altough its a solo venture from rheinmetall i think it fits in the UK tech tree for the reason that germany can get a KF51 wich means germany will still get a 130 mm base aswell not only the UK

I’m almost certain it will go to the GB tree.

  1. Germany dosen’t need a new high tier tank, the UK does. Gaijin does take this into account, even if people try and say they don’t.
  2. The tank is still basically just a Challenger 2 with a new gun, yes the turret is new but the CR3 TD turret (which I believe it is based on) shares a lot with the Challenger 2 turret.
  3. The entire hull is British.
  4. It never entered service with Germany, its just a prototype, so gaijin has no obligation to give it to Germany.

Britain has nothing to do with it either, Rhinemetal had some CR2s laying around and the turret is easier to modify than a Leopard turret. It should go to germany
You’d probably feel differently if it was the Leopard with the Royal Ordance improved L7 being suggested for the german tree

The challenger used for the 130mm was the 2019 LEP with the same turret all they did is swap out the gun and added on the turret armour

We already have a Leopard 2 ingame with a British gun, the 105mm L7A3 on the Leopard 2AV, I have no problem with that being in the German tree.

My point is at the end of the day it’s a Challenger 2, so Gaijin is probably going to give it to the Brits even even if was made by a German private company.

The vickers mk7 is in a mirrored situation, and which tree does it sit in?

This is nothing like the Vickers mk7

The British tree, because it was actually trialed to enter service by the British army, the Germans never trialed the CR2 130.

The Vickers Mk.7 is also significantly different to a normal Leopard 2. The Challenger 2 130mm is basically just a Challenger 2 with a new gun.

The Vickers Mk.7 we have in game was a british project, by a british company, goes to britain
The CR2 130 is a german project, by a german company, ergo should go to germany.
Simple as.

Vickers mk 7 was British project for the export market

Challenger 130mm was Rhinemetal going further then RBSL a BAE and Rhinemetal company which put a 130mm into a Challenger 2 ( The 2019 LEP to be exact which is the Challenger 3 TD in game) to show the UK what they could do with the Challenger 2

This game vehicles don’t go to nation just because they helped build it
