Do you have a link to that guys paper?
–__-- i give up
Understandable, im waiting for them to just ignore the ASPRO-HMT report again.
Look me dead in the eye and tell me that this is fine
Not to mention the turret checks also seemed to have gotten a need considering the amount of shots that have went clean through after the recent update…… bet they’ll say that was part of the model update as well instead of accepting that their games a buggy mess.
Im not even about protection. It spall in the middle of the composite thicness, meaning that that half is not there. Thats not a bug?
Atleast it ain’t like the Merkava
Oh no yeah im aware its just appalling the “job” theyve done. at the very least they didnt lie that “in someplaces protection may decrease” lmao!
The messaging is clear it seems, they choose to deny reality and facts and logic be dammed.
You cannot reason someone out of a position they didn’t reason themselves into in the first place.
I am going to stop now, as if I said what I actually wanted to say I would be banned but suffice to say, their responses are insulting and downright ridiculous, and the quality of work which they produce is sub standard and quite frankly crap.
I find it harder to kill Merkava’s too but challengers usually are just one taps for me and they go boom whilst Merkava’s it takes 2-4 shots in some rare scenarios ~it does need a buff in the turret tho~
Yes but if you look at the pictures from ingame youll notice how it just instantly goes straight into the fighting compartment and ignores the rest of the breach assembly and turret.
Even with that, how does the spall generated in the middle of composite thicness penetrate the turret core and set off spall liner?
Gaijin sees a perfectly clear line of no armour to the crew. A normal person sees a line of rha that goes all the way to the crew compartment…. I thought they made the turret volumetric, what’s volumetric about it?
It says 2000mm of protection while allowing rounds with as little as 89mm (the 2pdr) to pen it.
To be fair the 2pdr was a great gun :p
If your referencing me im just joking at this point because theres no point in being realistic about the challenger 2 thats represented in warthunder.
I had forgotten about the valentine mk1 with the 2pdr gun, it’s so much better than the other valentines as it has the same pen with a 2.3 second reload. Better mantlet armour than the challenger 2 while your at it.
It was to gothfemboyhater 🙂
Thank you for providing evidence that there is:
-
A skin between the outer cheek armour array and the mantlet and as such no spall created on this section of the armour should enter the cheek armour array or crew compartment.
-
There is no gap that travels the full length of the LOS between initial contact with the turret and the last section of the armour array. As such any round striking this will have to be affected by either the mantlet, Cheek armour array or both given that the gaps present are too thin to not obscure the flight path of a round even when perpendicular to the plate. This would significantly reduce the penetration of the round before even coming into contact with the internal cast turret.
Could we look to use these photos as evidence to get the issue that @DevilO6 has identified.
