yes, the charge was changed from that point so we know the muzzle velocity is wrong. We also KNOW the diameter is wrong for this round:

I did state this wasn’t production, but you’re still using the 700mm+ figure and comparing it to the game which you cannot given its RHAe, meaning a complex target that you don’t know the make-up of.

There is also no RHAe figure for this pre-production round anyways so comparisons cannot be made. There is a manufatuers RHA prediction but with no context.

the increase vs what gaijin is currently using is 5mm in length and 1mm in diameter, so not to any significant amount, no.

appears to be a 99.6% DU, 0.58% titanium alloy

So, even if you use the lowest possible figure from that source (99.25%), GJN is modelling the titanium in the sabot has having negative mass, looking at the density they use for the L27A1, which is more representative of numbers I’ve seen for US DU penetrators.

US DU staballoy (which the UK uses) its nominally 0.75% Ti and the density is usually given as 18600.

L26 uses staballoy, we cannot be sure this is the case for CHARM-3, and actually this study appears to show it is not the case.

its a relatively significant difference in the titanium concentration, and about 0.1% was silicon, this could suggest a new alloy, iirc this was a study comparing to staballoy hence why they mentioned the 0.75%.

I don’t think its conclusive, and neither did they. Regardless this would only represent a change in density to 18650 (vs 18550)., so idk what math some of you guys are doing.
