in real life
so in real life when the driver needs more power what does he do?
he puts his foot down and the gearbox does the rest of the work.
ok so when he puts his foot down does the rpms increase or decrease?
it will try to accelerate, if there is too much load(climbing), then it may decrease or stay constant. In second gear or below things work slightly differently.
I wonder if they are ever going to model the soft kill of iron fist or the protective ability of the table of the Dorchester 2F+.
Is it not a continuously variable gearbox. Meaning it would always be in the peak rpm range for power at those speeds and loads.
no lmao, its just an automatic

is the soft kill even on the BN’s APS?
Nope.
so its not too strange to think rpms would stay high under effort of the engine right? i mean why would you need a 1200hp if those hp cant work when the tank needs them?
there is the answer then lol
there this if you wanna read, not very useful though lol
I mean in game I always found it strange the driver always tried to get to gear 4 no matter than angle. Meaning I was stuck at 1300rpm at gear 4…. Seems inefficient to me. Might try out manual gear changes and see how it goes.
Yeah. The soft kill should be modelled but the Brit tax has really hampered us yet again.
what>?
The BN APS did not had the Soft-Kill jammers installed on in during the presentation
It does not have that small black tube

however it was passed to the devs and it might get it some day as a thing it could get or a thing that was supposed to be installed, i forgot
in the game its sayd the engine gives 1200hp at 2300 rpms. if the rpms go down it wont be using all the hp provided.
like you do understand why gears exist right? meaning in general. do you drive a car?
I mean hp isnt the main factor for climbing hills but torque. Only problem is gaijin doesn’t model it, so does that mean we should have hp modelled to what it does irl or have it changed depending on the torque specks of the engine to increase its ability to accelerate and climb?
thats where im getting at, if the rpms dont increase the tank wont have the 1200hp available.
in game at least
