@DevilO6 I think it was the rear plate that was changed. I went on youtube to see Chally 2 prior to this update and the rear plates is blue not yellow

Datamine says both changed but the one you’ve shown was already 40mm prior to the patch, I guess it’s like some internal change which doesn’t matter because the plate is labelled variable thickness armour
so they managed to nerf the sidescreen but not get round to buffing the turret sides or anything else other than the gear ratios?
played a blinder there gaijin.
especially because the 3D model completly disregards the 40mm thickness and now the era bricks float in the air

instead of doing some actual research (well, we’ll do that bit for them. all they have to do is check the legitimacy of said research) and you know, seeing that STANAG Level 5 means protection against all 25mm rounds at ranges above 500m and that ASPRO HMT meets that…
but i suppose that’d require something Gaijin lacks a bit.
We are simply too dumb to understand gaijins logic. Only they can balance the game as they are completely unbiased in their opinions and only they can make fair and balanced decisions on our part otherwise the game would be one sided.

we now have a “DUST COVER” with the same thickness of the prior side plate
then the visual model with the THICKER PLATE and 40mm plate in the armour viewer…

That is because the side screen is covered by a dust cover, you can see it here at 65mm of dust cover

Are not TES. They are OES, and 2 out of the 3 versions of OES. If you wonder, yes, there are different composite screens depending on the armor package.

I could be misremembering but I think there’s no side spall liner cause we don’t have any photos that show one, and we were speculating that it might not have been an issue for the MoD because the crew are issued Kevlar vests instead

There is no point. They do not understand the point that there are different versions of the tank and using the one that is not it is wrong, and we decided to leave it be untill beter pics surface.
maybe we can ask @Gunjob to do a internal report, they at least have to hear to a moderators reasoning
