It was quite a few issues actually that forced it back if i remember rightly there was electrical problems as well , but yeah i know it was slighted to enter service in 94 but the fact it went into service 5 years later is a massive time, half a decade aint no joke. (but no im not using it as a way of waving off the test results, just another food for thought) Im trying to find tank competitions from the 2000s now to see how it faired then as well.
same TBH quite a bold statement xD
Baby steps is my plan for it.
First things first, fix the Ready rack from 4 rounds to 20+
After that… No idea, but will think of soemthing to work on getting fixed specific.
But at the moment, where Britain shines, is as a support nation. With a superb line-up of CAS aircraft but what we need is the others parts to make up the support role. Additions like top tier IFVs (Boxer + Ajax) and SPAAs (Warrior VERDI 2, Supacat HVM and Sky Sabre) would round out our tree quite nicely.
As for MBTs, what is needed is a decompress and then eventually the Challenger 3.
was the last one I heard about.
Yeah i really do agree with the cas and what not.
i stopped grinding the SPAA line at (8.3 with chieftain marksman rn) to get the CR3 TD and just step back from the top tier of the game again for a while and noticed how brutal the CR2s are to use currently.
Could try the mobility? or the armour i suppose but then we hit a brick wall.
We also are supposedly getting india so maybe their MBTs can bolster the TT out ? if they wont fix the challangers or make them more competative.
Yeah the Iron spear competition. Im currently looking for more older competitions as well that its taken part in
Honestly, only real buff to mobility would be to add Regen Steering. Which is more than just the CR2s. Dont expect the CR2s to ever be strong in that department. My next focus would probably be on either a reload buff or a few specific armour buffs.
India have none that would be of any benefit past our 10.7 line-up and quite frankly. We dont need more MBTs after the Challenger 3.
Oh yeah 100 percent its a heavy slow beast of a tank nothing will change that, i meant more for how much speed it loses in the turn and how slow its turn is as well.
a fix on the breach or LFP would go miles to be honest, its not as if the tank suddenly would become untouchable at all
Really? I seen someone compile a list a while back but wasnt sure what BRs they would go in at respectively.
That’s the Iron Spear 2023 that I mentioned… which just so happens to be the only time it managed to score first that I can think of - so “routinely” is a veery big stretch.
The Chieftain and Challenger 2 use a different gun though. That part of the video is just odd IMO.
exactly my point. Hes just spouting miss information.
If they gave us the ranges that Challengers are expected to engage at, being slower than a glacier wouldn’t even be an issue.
Yeah, there is that as well
I would wager that longer ranges would make it at least usable. Across the board. Even if we keep mediocre round performance.
Was the only 1 it won. Every other year it was an Leopard.
Every other year? Got a source man been looking for hours for official competitions where its accuracy has come into question.
Bar kuwaiti and greece
I mean, the longer ranges would be fantastic for most brs to be fair.
Id love some longer range maps in the early cold war gear as well, conqueror and chieftains, M60A2s T95E1(always hope we get the different variants) etc etc
Larger maps would also help resolve the cas complaints if they can’t just loiter the entire field with minimal effort.
For 4 years it was called SETC. The rest are Iron Spear. Edit: I forgot it also was called CAT.
I think the issue with that is that the loader was holding the projectile before the gun was fired. If they accepted that, then the 105 M1s could get a 2-3 second reload for 1 lap loaded round. Gaijin doesn’t like lap loads
