Check timestamps of 1) my reply and 2) dev stream. Would be nice of you to list those 2 QoL announcements or even paste time-links to those stream fragments.
So glad Britian is getting their third and fourth subtrees before Israel gets one.
Also amazing that’s it’s top tier copy-paste which is exactly what the game needs right now!
You get an F-18, you get an F-18, everyone gets an F-18!
I can’t wait for the peak Bri’ish top tier lineup of an F-18, F-111, Abrams, Leopard 2, and Boxer! This is so much better than nasty Indian copy-paste like the Tejas or Arjun which should stay the hell away from our tree because they “just don’t fit the vibe” and no other more nefarious reason
1- time stamps of your reply, brother all you said was we got 6 premuims and 0 QoL. what are you talking about?
2- How about open up the dev server, or watch the english dev stream yourself. If you do open the dev server, hop in a jet with a radar and youll see the improved radar menu. Then hop in a bomber and play around with the gunners, if you dont notice a difference you havent played bombers much.
Man, I am so glad that they finally filled that terrible gap. I was waiting for them to fill that 1 (ONE) BR gap ever since the introduction of the FA.2. (Nevermind the Aussie Hornets not even being carrier capable)
I mean, they still aren’t subtrees, but yeah, it sucks that these Hornets somehow had a higher priority than Indian and South African vehicles (even though I’m glad that we didn’t get a MiG, Sukhoi or the Rafael).
South African Mirage III(x)Zs or the F1AZ/CZs would have been easy and much more interesting additions.
How are the various SA Mirages much different from any Indian Mig or Sukhoi? Tejas might be a worthy addition in terms of originality, but Mirages are as much out of character with the British tech tree as a Mig.
Many people have been seal-clubbed by the exact combination. I know everyone secretly wants the penetration-cum-blast but making new models may be too much effort for the poor indie developer that is Gaijin.
South Africa is the main reason why there even is a ground attack variant of the F1s and their F1s are very different compared to Frances F1s, wether or not they would end up at a useful BR depends on the armament Gaijin would give them.
The South African Mirage IIIs aren’t all too unique but would add planes to an otherwise pretty empty BR in the British tree. Plus Mirages are bluefor while MiGs and Sukhois are redfor equipment.
Most of the Indian MiGs and Sukhois wouldn’t really add anything to the tree due to their likely BR placements (similar to the rather pointless F-111). MiG-27s would end up at the same GRB BR as the Tornado and the F-111, the MiG-23BN would sit at the same BR range as the Buccaneer S.2, Jaguar GR.1 and Harrier GR.3, the MiG-23MF is a less than desireable plane and would fill the same role as a South African Mirage III and the MiG-25 isn’t in the game yet.
A Su-30MKI would currently be a Su-30SM reskin with a different RWR, a Super-30/Super Sukhoi would be fine later on though, I suppose. Last but not least, their MiG-29UPG would just fill the same role as the SAAF Gripen, not sure about the MiG-29K, but I believe the only thing that would make that semi-interesting would be its carrier capability.
If I’m missing any Indian operated MiGs/Sukhois, you are welcome to let me know about em
Thanks for the informative answer. I was objecting the addition of the Mirage airframe because they’re all more or less the same and quite boring. There are indeed quite a few BR gaps in the British TT, but I think Gnat and Hawk armed with various weapons, as well as adjustment to the Phantom IIs’ armament and BR could amend that.
Seeing we’ll have to get imported aircrafts from other nations, it’s entirely my very personal preference that US products operated by CAN/AUS > Russian gear by India >French gear by SA
That’s very fair and while our personal preferences may vary, I do agree that the Hawk and adjustments to the FGR.2 would provide much better solutions than subtree vehicles!
For me. The ONLY time a sub-TT should be added is to fill a meaningful gap that actually exists and cannot be filled by native options (either export or domestically operated)
I get why they added a 12.3/12.7 fighter. Though in my opinion, the Tonkas and Harriers had that covered just fine, with plenty of buffs available for all of them to keep them going and perfectly competitive. So overall it wasnt needed.
14.0 F-18 wasnt needed at all and I would have much rather gotten something like a premium Tonrado, Jag or Buc personally.
The only gap that actually, truly exists, is the lack of fighters between 9.7 and 12.0. Currently the Sea Harrier alone is holding that fort and its underperforming loads. It will also always have the limitation of being a subsonic fighter taking on supersonic fighters. There is no domestic supersonic fighter that I can think off that would help in this gap. The ONLY option I think would be a Mirage, maybe 2. (Though there is the question of whether we need something at every BR)
The Mirage 2000I would be 14.0, just like the 2000-5F as these variants are mostly identical, I don’t know enough about the H/TH to comment on those.
The MiG-21FL is a downgraded MiG-21PF, the only PF we currently have ingame is the PFM, which is 9.3. It could be an interesting alternative to the Lightning, but that BR area could easily be filled with British planes.
