Should it be an LF Mk IX with the Merlin 66 or a normal F Mk IX with the Merlin 61 or 63?

What a deal! ^^ You can’t be serious.

Has Merlin 66 ingame, though im betting in real life it probably had the earlier engines

Nice

Cool but its the wrong model of spitfire for Vasily Antonovich Matsievich. He had a base mkIX spitfire in 1944 with a merlin 61 engine rather than a merlin 66 found in the LF variant.

would have been cooler to see his I153 represented instead of a not very historically accurate C&P of a non russian plane to honour him

6k Ge… you’ve got to be kidding

Cool, will it be available to those who aren’t able to dump $40.19 on a plane?

When will sound mods be available?

It’s in the British tech tree, just not with the markings and premium.

I was mainly joking about the obscene price.

So, I’m not saying it shouldn’t be cheaper, but it’s not $40.19. IF you purchase 6x 1,000 batches of GE’s, sure, but if you buy 5,000 GE’s or 10,000 GE’s the price is “only” $30.15.

Even if you purchased 5,000, 1,000 and 150 GE’s the price would be $32.02 (with 60 GE’s left over.) There is a significant reduction in price by purchasing 5,000 GE’s or more, versus the lower amounts.

Again, I am not disagreeing with you about its high price in GE’s, but the “normal” price in money a player would pay is 20% to 25% lower than your reply.

Full breakdown of GE costs, including cost per individual GE.
Price of The Spitfire Mk IXc (USSR) by purchasing 5k or 10k GE packs:
6,090 GE's * $0.00495 per GE = $30.15

25,000 GE for $114.00 = $0.00456 per GE = $4.56 per 1,000 GE
10,000 GE for $49.50 = $0.00495 per GE = $4.95 per 1,000 GE
 5,000 GE for $24.75 = $0.00495 per GE = $4.95 per 1,000 GE

 2,500 GE for $16.50 = $0.0066 per GE = $6.60 per 1,000 GE
 1,000 GE for $6.60 = $0.0066 per GE = $6.60 per 1,000 GE
   150 GE for $0.99 = $0.0066 per GE = $6.60 per 1,000 GE

EDIT:

Yeah, if this had a 30% discount on it I would probably get it. At ~$20 it would be more reasonable for me. It would fit perfectly into my RU 5.3-5.7 BR Air Arcade lineup. I love having an excess number of premium planes for Air Arcade, can keep spamming them and not care about dying a lot. And with my 1k+ backups, I can spawn in up to 22 times now 😄

I pretty much totally filled out my RU 3.7 AAB lineup too. OH I have the 11th slot now 😂 I might actually have another premium I could fit into this one now:

The regular cost of a premium of that rank was always around 30 euro, but being honest, apart from collectors who really need such aircraft for the grind? It just doesn’t worth the price especially without a discount

OMG what a lineup! I thought mine was good. I don’t have all those strike fighters, apart from the TIS MA

❤️ I ADORE my strike aircraft for Air Arcade 😍 I got lucky with the TIS MA, got it from one of the SL crates last year.

Instead of those I have P-63A-10, La-7, ITP, Hurricane, P-40 and… Ofc the cannon chaika. The last one I purchased for sim battles, before EC came out, to troll and club A6M users lol

Agreed. I still don’t know why the Mk Vb hasn’t been added yet for the Soviets. Much higher numbers of those were delivered, which saw significant combat, unlike the Mk IXc.

Gaijin in 2013 even included it in the official roadmap for future planned additions to the Soviet roster, and yet this has failed to materialise, while even Italy got a Mk Vb premium a few years ago.

was a very different company back then bro, they actually cared a little bit about history and quality of the game

And Italy’s still missing some aircrafts they actually used during WW2. It looks like they stopped caring much about props in general. Modern vehicles seem to be more attractive (and sadly more expensive)
