A mission timer. (we’re talking GRB only btw)
Say Gaijin puts a timer on you once the battle starts, say 10 minutes.
If you leave after one death, your crew is locked until the timer expires or the battle ends.
If you bring a backup or a few more vehicles, then 10 minutes ain’t a big deal.
Is this not how it currently works?
No, if you bring just one vehicle, get destroyed and leave, then you can go immediately into the next battle.
In ARB, if you crash without external influence, then yes, you’re locked for up to 8 minutes or until the battle ends.
Ahh, yes. But what about premium players with no line up? Would they have to go with a low tier tank? Or would it be different? I mean, I don’t blame them, many people have used a premium vehicle to get to the higher tiers faster (I myself have done that) and buying two vehicles sounds a bit too much.
Bring any additional vehicle you like, preferably a SPAA, because even in Top Tier a Gepard can still shoot at Helicopters :)
Ideally you would want to force people to bring more vehicles of the same rank, so you could expand the mission timer part a bit.
Say, just 1 vehicle in your lineup - 15 minutes timer
2+ vehicles of different rank (Click Bait & M16) - 12 minutes timer
2+ vehicles of same rank - 10 minutes
You leave after one death, full timer applies, you leave without using all your vehicles, the reduced timer applies.
That does sound appealing. Are we taking into account the fact that sometimes one doesn’t have enough SP to spawn another vehicle? And yes, lower tier SPAAs can take out helicopters (and sometimes even planes if they fly near you).
You start with 450SP, you need 100-160SP for your first vehicle, SPAA is 70SP, so plenty of room for respawns.
Very true, didn’t do the maths.
And if I have only 1 vehicle line up and don’t have any backups?
He did reply to me:
I know that not everyone likes the map or if it is a single cap point or domination or whatever, there are always reasons to J out and hope for the next match…BUT…the amount of matches in the premium BR brackets where halve the team leaves after a single death is just way too high.
Anyways, back to the topic, high tier CAS is one of the reasons why people leave early, because of the imbalance, so offering a CAP solution for a low amount of SP would be great.
If I could, realistically, bring a fighter with Air-to-Air loadout for say 200-250SP then that would be a huge benefit.
Pure cap is already cheap enough. If you can’t spawn that it’s a massive skill issue and should not be rewarded with beeing able to spawn a plane of any kind.
Why?
You want to penalize players for gaijin’s poor game design? Great way to make people stop playing
things like ODL can start getting attention once GRB is actually playable and CAS is balanced
To me that goes hand in hand.
In High/Top Tier you don’t survive long, you die more often, so you need more vehicles.
If you balance CAS with either cheaper CAP or better SPAA, then you also need to bring those into the match, it doesn’t help if you bring just one tank and don’t use your SPAA to shoot down enemy CAS, because you’re already in the next match where you also die within 2 minutes.
Anyways, CAS and ODL need fixing, I think that’s what we can agree on :)
I look at this gameplay on the tops, THIS IS JUST HORRIBLE) The Soviets literally fly right over the battlefield back and forth 5 times, not even trying to dodge the useless Adats and Flaracrads (he kills them from x2 range from their maximum). What other nation in the game can do this? Monkeys who only have the Soviets pumped up. I see this in the queues before the start of the battle, for the USSR 90% of players for all other nations are waiting for 1-3 players. Today the USSR played against 5 nations at once, everything that the server could scrape together from all nations to let the players play for the USSR.
Doesn’t really happen too often, as they get instantly hard countered by F16s, F18s and other AIM120 slingers.
USA and France for example
Yes, you have a chance to accumulate 750 experience points and take the F-15C with AIM-120C, but you will have to fight not only with enemy aircraft that carry the best close-range missiles, but also dodge the Pantsir S1 missile. This is very difficult to do, you cannot get close to the battlefield.
What aircraft and missiles can hit moving ground targets at a speed of Mach 2 or higher from 20 km away?
