CAS problem

Look, here’s a possible idea and approach to circumvent the CAS problem in Tank Battle: add more planes and rewards for killing CAS with planes. It’s very rare for a CAS unit to encounter a plane that is there solely to hunt other CAS. Further, reduce the SP even more for planes that are exclusively on missions to hunt CAS. Perhaps Gaijin could create a class within Tank Battle for planes that only engage CAS (obviously at strategic points and far from enemy SPAA), allowing players to use their aircraft solely for CAS-hunting missions and maybe even reduce the experience gained if a player acting as an interceptor kills a tank. This should reduce the number of CAS, after all, they would be busy dealing with other jets and even SPAA. In any case, Tank Battle is not lost yet.

In lower and higher rank fighters can be used as CAS so what prevent these fighters after dropping the bomb or firing the missile on tanks to fight against op team fighters/CAS.

To be honest I’d limit squads to only two different nations, as otherwise they can easily pick three meta nations for their BR range and basically abuse the system. Perfect example of this is if you look at top tier situation and queue with GER/RU/SWE, as this combo simply has no flaws and will mostly play against Click-Bait spammers, resulting in some easy wins.

High tier isn’t just top tier.

Yes, add more planes and turn GRB into a quasi-ARB.

That’s a great idea if you want to invite fighter jockeys from ARB that are sick of 16v16 battles there.
They would literally hijack the mode if SP costs are lowered any further.

These same CAS, after using their air-to-ground bombs and missiles, will return to base to rearm. Most do this for numerous reasons, one of which is to avoid SPPA or to avoid dying in some other way. Most prefer to do this, they are not willing to hunt CAS, gaijin should encourage players to hunt CAS users

This won’t happen, because the number of hunter CAS is purposely limited to prevent that. These hunter CAS should be able to disrupt or neutralize enemy CAS.

Gaijin has literally no limits to anything in the game, so I doubt they’ll add that limit though.

CAS and CAP is literally cancer for players who just wanted to play ground vehicles, most of my light tanks death is by CAP very early in the game because they are extremely cheap to spawn and the default ammunition can kill any light tanks. Want me to compile a image showing the number of matches I had in various unarmoured vehicles and each death type by ground and air units? On a bad days it can go up to 70% deaths by air unit and what does that mean? It dies to things it simply cannot counter, this type of deaths is worse than dying to cheater in ground vehicles because at least I could still kill them. And you wanna put even more planes in GROUND BATTLES to ruin it for someone who doesn’t want to be bother by things their vehicle has no counter with? Lol

You know that CAS is not fast moving planes except in higher rank battles must of these are slower then fighters and spawning fighters unless you buy the event/premium plane/jet or the CAS (J -out) and you don’t get the reward for shooting the CAS down.

Cas is annoying and OP on GRB but in high tier is disgusting. Theres nothing worst then doing a great game and a loser in other side that simply manage to do a cap/1-2assists can just spawn with a ralafe, do 1 run and kill 6 tanks. Its just insane, I been griding rank7 and jets are just the worst, every other rank is doable/stressless but the fire and forget missiles bs is insane. Make the sp of jets with that kind of loadout being omost like a nuke. I hate grinding tier 7 and done a break several times because of it. Even now with T80U i had 8 kills without dying, close to a nuke just to die to a jet with agm. Yesterday a dude killed 1 tank, died and spawned with ralafe manage to carry the game in the end with more then 20 kills. Things need to change, I just stick to rank 5 because of cas bs, only way to Counter is join the aids party and being forced to grind jets, some dudes just wanna stick to ground battles. The shitty slow ass drone with 2atm cost 700sp, a fully loaded rafale is like half of it. Just insane, add high tier jets with aa loadout for cheap sp(some jet same tier for everyone, like the drone) and make custom air to ground loadout insane sp. This can be very well balanced even leaving jets in, just increase sp. Even in rank 3 sometimes we see more jets then tanks, its just insane.

Gaijin has already made it clear that they won’t remove CAS from tank battles. If she does this, the SPAA and multi-operational jets will become practically useless.

I agree. Some nation combinations are unbalanced. Limiting how many nations can queue together would be far from ideal but it’s a worthy suggestion.

Does it invalidate what I’ve said? You probably assumed that I meant Pantsir specifically.

After 10.3, All russian SPAAs choices are extremely strong. That combined with perhaps the best CAS options at those BRs consistently makes it a chore to play against this nation whether you are on the ground or in the air.

Meanwhile most other nations have massive gaps when it comes to SPAA at those BRs. If those gaps could be filled in, maybe the issue with high tier CAS could be alleviated. Unfortunately, Gaijin is not in a hurry when it comes to filling in tech trees that don’t have a soviet flag next to their name.

This is the main issue. People are able to spawn in CAS after a single kill or a capped point. I don’t really mind it honestly except that at top tier it’s annoying when a dude who’s done nothing but cap a point gets to fly a Ka-52.

Why would SPAAs or Jets become useless with the addition of tank-only mode???

Unless you want to implement fully mixed battles, it’s the only solution to stop people rigging the MM in their favor.

Many other nations already got their Strela/Osa combo, so their choices are also pretty decent.
I wouldn’t call 2S6 to be extremely strong though.

I doubt anything USSR has around that BR comes even close to A-10A that has 6x AGM-65Ds at 10.7.
Their CAS is really good at 12.7 though.

As I have already explained it many times before.

With TO in the game, the era of unwanted nerfs/buffs would end. Only people who enjoy combined aspects of the game would be in combined gamemode thus teams would be more balanced.

This argument is as in all multiplayer PvP games that has ranking, You can find nswear for it there.

Nothing bad as we have enough players to support it.

What are you going to do with a Panther and a FlaRakRad? absolutely nothing, there are no planes for SPAA to destroy, they will be easy targets for tanks

the answer is the same, if there are people willing to hunt the CAS, they will hardly make 5k in the match

as much as i wish for tank only mode seem it not gonna happen
well, if tank only mode come to the game people will flood that mode without a second thought and when that happen combine arm mode will be like ghost mode because only few people will play it and that is bad for gaijin because mode strike aircraft will be useless because it no target for them outside combine arms mode and that is bad for gaijin overall (which tbh really i don’t really care much i’m sick of flying in so called ARB 2.0 because horde of CAS anyway)
