Yes, you can intentionally do things so you don’t die to CAS, or less likely, like doing things that could more likely get yourself killed by enemy tanks. Not surprise mate, some never die to CAS not even once in 30 matches or more I believe because their playstyle couldn’t survive most tank to tank encounter, or they are CAS players themselves. Still, it’s annoying to be killed so often by something your favorite vehicle has no counter against when you play them the intended way instead of brawling head-on.
What are you implying here? That I purposely play in a certain way to only die to tanks and not CAS?
No what he meant is each person gaming experience is different. You can’t just say “Because I experience A like X , so when everybody experience A , they should also meet X”. It doesn’t work like that

*the better you play and if youre in every match till the end you will get out of 12.0 with (i would guess) atleast 1 death by CAS per round, and for me and many others thats 50% of the spawns
*2 and u dont even need to play a tank at all anymore in combined battles… have seen battles where russians go heli firstspawn and then jump into su30
Are you implying that it is a bad thing? it is not, pushers playing an important role at applying map pressure, the good ones could have KD as high as 5kd so it obviously work, and they mostly die to enemy tanks due to their playstyle.
Ok look , I’m pretty sure personal experience and each person gameplay should be taken into account. You play good , you don’t allow CAS to have influence on the game , sure good on you. But what we interest in is the effect of CAS on a game overall. With this we have to assume that all player have the same skill floor in order to judge other aspect. One of them being “What CAS can do and how much effect can it do on a game”. This , however , does not take your own personal experience in as one of the main aspect. When 99% of player who play GRB can see that CAS is still extremely strong, even the tool offer , are still underwhelming compare to their CAS counter part.
Im not saying you are bad or anything. Im just saying that what you just assumed is wrong and your personal experience doesn’t serve as one of many reason why CAS is fine because you can deal with it

What is funny to me… we talk about that some players have skills to make enemy CAS not “affect their game”… but the CAS dont need skill… they play a point and click adventure with a video on the second monitor… thats the level of toptier CAS right now… and thats what is so super frustrating…
you sweat your ass off and show your skills… then one fucking guy goes into a KA-50 (or whatever CAS) and kills you while sipping a tee in one hand… and then u respawn and he kills you again xD
CAS itself rarely effects the outcome of a match with the exception of Russian top tier CAS

I alone shred whole teams on all nations with my CAS on almost all BRs
If no one goes counter, i will wipe their whole team in minutes.
My recent 85% position and 69% recent winrate dosnt come out of nowhere lol
If i keep using my A2D in GRB i likely sit at 75% recent winrate in 1-2 weeks (which is unlikely as i dont play the same for more then a few matches usually)

Does it put you in a better mood if i tell you that it has the allison t-40 engine a similar one to the one of the XF-84H Thunderscreech one if not the loudest plane ever built? :-) very unique sound also in game, i think thats what ppl should put more focus on, like the actual unique parts of vehicles you can play in this game and not that its too strong and you can ruin 1000s of ppls fun in game for hundreds of matches. That just gets boring.
Theres also a massive boom if you manage to mg its 4000 pd bomb while hes flying around
The A2D is one of the most spammed CAS in that br, if I hears it and it isn’t from my team, which means death is imminent lol

cant disagree.
But i am more afrait of pulkzerstörer, tu2s or yak9 on that br tbh… as these can either be really though to destroy or have 29 shots of one hit wonder 45mm APHE. A2D is good, and to kinda to strong but ure a freekill to all enemy Planes (in theory) and easy food for 6.3+ Flak, especially the 7.7 radar ones will eat you alive.
And on higher br, against computeraided CAS stuff… i am just frustrated… as u mostly cant do shit against it anyway. Especially when u have no AA in the nation or your deck yet (or a really shitty one like the roland system). And i myselft dont fly at that high brs anymore in GRB… as thats just not entertaining me.
Much more fun to fight for your dare life in Real sweaty Battles and being able to be destroyed by a good .50 on a tank or a arty or enemy plane that can kill me before it reaches the death zone of my AA… which dosnt work like that in higher brs. Just the danger alone that anyone could rek you makes it more fair und fun. Who needs a fucking heli with spikes when you have done nothing to get that kill? BORING! and unfair for the guys u killed…
Not a fan of flying, but I do have SU-11 and that german dorito lol the SU-11 is the only thing I could fly sometimes feels it is a little bit broken, the default ammo only require 580sp to spawn and not only that it is an excellent CAP it is also an outstanding CAS with the 37mm, seems like it effortless outturn/out maneuver anything it sees in that br, A2D are foods for it and as soon as you get behind anything they won’t be able to shake you off unless something interfere of course, I immediately notice how slow it is the dorito in comparison, and furthermore aiming with the dorito often feels like playing a tank without stabilizer due to lack of rudder. But F, that thing really one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen, have plenty of ammo but all I ever wanted is to use it as CAP but this thing ain’t newbie friendly like the SU-11.
Su-11 is broken in Air RB actually, in GRB… dont know… its balanced i would say. It still needs to get within .50cal range to do dmg to enemys and only 2 small bomb drops will not wipe out whole teams. Also it dosnt have enough ammo to do to extreme with the guns. But still needs to go up in BR as pure Fighter. Su-9 is a bad joke in comparison and they both came out at the same time at 7.0.

What changes if I’m paying attention? What can I do when CAS launched rocket or dives on me to bomb? Can i run - no, can I hide - no, can i defend myself with something - again no and that’s problem, nothing can save you if pilot decided to kill you. (If pilot has few braincells and not flying straight line at height of 1-1.5 km)

Agreed; an analogy for CAS is a school bully. The issue is for Gaijin to permit players to choose to play a TANK/NAVAL battle only, no CAS. Problem is that CAS players are in a MINORITY and Gaijin know that they would be hanging around in a lobby for ages until two teams are sorted out. Can’t see a problem with that, at least they can leave and play an AIR battle instead, something that tankers can’t. Just think, a no CAS scenario…bases would never be fully captured and the game would have to be timed out for the 6 that are playing.🤣🤣🤣🤣
