tried logging in into a new war thunder account for my brother however it immediately logs in on a very old account which is banned and was linked on steam since i use steam, have tried turning off my internet but that just either gives me a try logging in again or an exit button, while letting it log in only gives me an option to exit the game entirely, is the only option now just to contact support and unlink the steam or is there another way?
if you downloaded the game through steam you should be able to use the war thunder launcher to load the game separately.
Go into your war thunder directory and locate launcher.exe (or smth like that). Running that should open war thunders launcher allowing you to use another account

You can use also as game option in steam, -nosteam
uhm, well your steam is linked to your account so trying to start the game from your steam will log you in to that account. if someone else wants to play they will have to use their own steam login or use the standalone client and their own Gaijin account to play, they won’t be able to use your steam login if that is banned from the game.
Wait, you can link your Steam and Gaijin accounts? I can’t see an option on my account settings…
