Recently got a new pc and when i opened war thunder it forced me onto a new steam account? There is no switch account option and it refuses to give me an option to log onto my war thunder account even after deleting my steam account? Is this an unfixable issue?
I believe you’re logging-in automatically, this can be fixed if you follow the following steps to how to log-in manually into another account, which I believe it’s Gaijin.net account;
- Open the game as normal and click your in-game name;
- It will open your profile window;
- At the log-in page you should insert your Gaijin.net account details to log-in into the game using this account; pressing Steam log-in will cause you to log-in into your automatically generated Steam account for War Thunder, which doesn’t share data, vehicles or any other in-game asset;
Otherwhise you should always contact support at support.gaijin.net.
It does not give me the option to switch user
Why dont you use the gaijin launcher and not steam ?
because i want my steam achievements lol
You can try to launch the game using the Launcher which should give you a option to log-out:
- At the game’s steam page access the “Setting” button;
- With the window open go to “Manage”;
- In the General window go to Launch options and press “Play War Thunder”;
- Select “Launch Manual Game Update”;
With this, restart the game and it should open the Launcher first, regardless if you want your Steam achievements, it’s running through Steam and it should give you your achievements.
