Not rly unless your talking about design, even then only really for the grizzlies
The Gram and Rizzly are both built off Shermans, aswell as many other tanks which aren’t ingame rn.
Please guys be respectful to each other and avoid useless comments such as “you’re from place X, therefore you can’t have an opinion”. It’s just bad taste.
Canadian built chassis though, at least for grizzlies, I think the rams were US built
A number of facts are wrong here:
Everything Canada built during WW2 was built for the British - simply put everything Canadian from WW2 was either used or tested by the British and even stuff Canada built post-war was used by the British or the UK where going to be its first/only buyer.
On top of that only 10% of US-build, unmodified C&P, wasn’t used/have British involvement. The rest have the UK involved in some way. Things like the Shermans? Gift from the UK for the Sextion.
However on the other hand most of Canada’s pure C&P is British, Churchill, Centurion, Spitfires etc. To the point up until ~8.0 a Canadian sub-tree can be pure British C&P(as British-built vehicles outnumber US-built ones) and even after that, there is still British tech in Canadian vehicles/used by Canada. To put it simply between the UK and the US, I can make full lines of UK C&P, well US ones, not even half a line(and the majority of those US C&Ps where also used by the UK as I said earlier).
The Ram is not a Sherman, it’s more related to the Lee. As Canada was tasked to make a success to the Lee(like many others) and it came to the Ram. (a tank used by 3 nations, Canada, the UK, Netherlands)
The Grizzly on the other hand is, as when the Allies made the Sherman the tank, it was viewed extra production was needed so Canada built some to supplies itself on the other non-US allies.
you know what else is massive?
The Canada won’t be in the US line because gaijin know it will make a very big drama
Making a regional tree makes the most sense despite the whining
Eh, the US military and arms industry has enough stuff to fill every gap in the tree, we don’t really need anything, nor do I personally want anything from Canada, I play the US tree for stuff designed by the US and/or in US service
We dont need new trees yet we need to fix the current one
Tbh only subtree that would make sense for USA is South Korea, which could help in some spots
I understand, Canada doesn’t offer much to the U.S. tree
Yeah they have some fantastic stuff
I could see that maybe in the future
Id prioritize fixing the current one tbh
challengers, leopards more lavs etc
That’s not much, the tree doesn’t have much to offer late game.
US itself operates more LAV than Canada, lots of variants too so not really a gap needing to be filled exclusively with Canada
I don’t think any US players want Leopards or Challengers in the US tree either
i can agree with that, mainly the only difference would be 8.0 and up.
Not with the relationship between Canada and USA
Canada is spread out between Britain and the U.S. so it doesn’t even matter.
