Perhaps yes, either would be good but it would make sense to put more leopards in the German tree, like I said because the 2A8 is either a tech demo or just going into service this could be a stop gap which adds something unique, the 2A6M and MC2 adds barracuda camoflauge mats to help against thermals, and so on as mentioned. Would make the 2A6 better or just add the German upgraded 2A6M
Perhaps yes, but people always complain that everyone gets leopards, the Germans should be the ones getting majority of the leopards.
The German ones in the tree (aside from 2A7V and 2A4M) have either Gen 1 with Gen 2 commander thermals or low res thermals.
This would be a way to add leopards with high resolution thermals or adding German leopards with higher resolution thermals IE the German upgraded 2A6MA3

this is hands down the weakest reasoning ive seen for it. Canada has almost exclusivley used british equipment for over 300 years, other than british kit its mostly american

spammed too much into tech trees. Their frequence in battles is just a symptom of gaijins lazy work in adding high tier unique vehicles to trees.

germany has 2a6m themself, 2a6a2(m), 2a6a3(m) the M only stands for possible add on mine plates
then germany has 2a7a1, 2a7+, atd and more and more. The canadian leopards are not unique they are copy paste german variants. Germany has Barracuda camouflage themself as well
The only canadian leopard that was worth implementation was the 2a4m can because that is a unique variant.
Germany is not in need of canadian leopards, we have the equivalents ourself and multiple better ones

the only issue is where do canadian leopards go? Does gaijin do the overall right thing and make canada a subtree of britain (they aint doing that they hate britain lmao) and reduce the uniqueness of another TT with a leopard 2, go against a major part of canadian national identity and put them with the USA or just pump the german tree with more leopard 2 variants which add nothing to that tree but more unwanted grind

the sad answer is, not everything is worth being added.
Personaly thats why i am for getting rid of nation line ups all together. Still nation research restricted but oh well. People like australia and canada would need to research multiple trees and the best at times they might get is skins for similar variants (leos). but they could make a line up in the end and role play their nation if so desired.
But right now i abhor the addition of canada and australia as a sub tree to UK, because its just unfair to any other in game nation in the game that UK just gets thrown everything to them sorry.
Besides that standalone i wouldnt mind, but not to UK
I get not being a fan of britain having canada and australia as subtrees, its really weird that AU isnt one because all but one aussie vehicle is in the british tree (tbf its an abrams and america mains would flood the planet with the tears of cope) canada is currently in a really crap situation as canadians have to spend thousands of hours grinding three trees to play their own vehicles now, it is simply better for big relevant countries to have one tree as a home.
I personally just think that Kingdoms or very closely related countries should be together. Canada, Australia, UK and NZ all have the same monarchy and are very closely tied politically culturally and in military doctrine, it just seems dumb that they arent as one officially in game but India somehow is

Im for unique vehicles being exclusive to trees, Abrams for USA, Challenger for UK and whatever cruddy soviet prototype gaijin adds WoT style to USSR.
I don’t think the Australian abrams should have been added at all as a different tank but only as a skin for an American M1a1 and keep individual aussie vehicles all together in the British tree

it could’ve been an earlier USMC M1A1 with M829A1 and that would’ve been pretty cool.
Couldn’t be a USMC AIM though since that would be a top BR tank (literally just a better Australian one due to better rounds and armor) and that’s not allowed for squadron
