i think we should have derbys on the F-16I sufa because it fits in alot more with the aircrafts play style because of its limited amount of armament and its ability to get into great positions at close range in headons a missile with better off bore sight capability would make this aircraft alot nicer to play it would make a nice replacement for the AIM-120 C-5 that it currently has
or, hear me out, gaijin buffs the AIM-120C-5 so that it reflects real life HOBS performance
i dont think the C-5 is the problem its a great missile for aircraft like the F-15 and eurofighter but it kind of clashes with the close range fight playstyle of the F-16 airframe and it would be great for it also because its a weapon made and produced by the country that fields the aircraft IRL
the C-5 is the problem because it’s meant to be significantly better than both the 120A and Derby at all ranges and shot angles
Later aim-120 variants being so nerfed that even Derby being better than them was not on my prediction list.
The game has a chronical (I assume a pre-nerf till later generation aircraft come) problem with more modern ARH missiles performing worse than early variants.
