The XM1s being at 9.3 and only having 292mm of pen is abysmal as a tank. I think that it should be given M774 or even the experimental XM774, which I assume would have a little less pen that M774.

Flat pen doesn’t matter, since you will only face tanks with armor at angle, where this shell have decent penetration. By the way, it is the most mobile tank at this BR and incredibly good at flanking, and in addition you don’t play against M1/Leopard 2A4 anymore.
I don’t think it needs a new round, especially now when 2A4/T-80B spam isn’t bothering it.
XM-1 has like top tier mobility and gun handling which is more than enough to compensate for that worse shell it has.
This penetration value is not particularly low, at the same Br French tanks have at best 394mm of penetration (on 120mm guns) or 361mm (on 105mm guns), all this while being less armored and less mobile.

I think it is fine currently, M735 just needs to spall better and be more reliable. However, I’d rather have it go down in BR than get a new round.

Apparently in the Dev servers filed right now as of a couple days ago, they are removing the XM1s thermals, while staying the same BR.
That was just from the leaks and not the dev server, so it isn’t 100% confirmed yet. The leaks also said they were lowering the optics on it too, which is a shame.

The leaks started first, but I heard it was found in the Dev server’s files as well. Not sure of the validity of that, but it’s what I heard.

The Chrysler gets a bit better turret armor, plus composite hull armor. Slower, but accelerates faster, as it gets a prototype turbine engine.

Yeah I reckon 7.7 seems like a decent BR for it. Might have a hard time killing a Royal Tiger
