So yeah, here is replay Gaijin Entertainment - Single Sign On
Im behind mountain and you can see AIM-120 still tracks me…
Checked, the replay. They didnt track through the mountain. Best guess, they lost lock and switched to IOG so tracked you based upon where you would be if you continued going in the same direction, which you did. As you came round the outside of the mountain and missiles relocked and hit you.
I never said they gone thru mountain, I said they tracked me as you could see they did… also so its not just to hide behind mountain now I need to change my direction…LOL this game is sooo hilarious…just yeah…
anyway thanks
P.s.
so that guy shoot 3 AIM-120 on me and only one did this??? thats quite strange…but I guess its normal LOL…so defending in this game is redicilous…enemy just need to shoot missile and I cant even hid behind mountain LOL

Another funny thing…
So fakour 90 is tracking me while im below 50m…then terrain just kicks me up…man this game should do 1 update per year and do it at begining of the year so they can fix bugs and everything they break throughout the year… because this aint it…this is just bad
Might be the wrong clip?
You dont die in this one and no F-14A IRIAF even fired at you. An Aim-54A is fired at you, but is defeated by your chaff quite easily…
That being said. MP doesnt stop a missile from tracking you, but causes the missile to go for your"reflection". If you are too close to the ground when it explodes or you are in the path of the missile still. You will die.
a time would be helpful in the future btw.
It right at begining… unfortunately for me
I just wanna know how am I being tracked and locked at less than 50m and why did ground bounce me up?
locked is easy for modern radar, Ground clutter doesnt effect them, especially in a PD mode.
Tracked, MP doesnt stop a missile tracking, but causes it to “miss” when it gets close
as for pulling up. looked like flight instructor maybe? or does the Su-27 have auto-pilot thingy? Thats what it looked like to me. It was avoiding a collision with the ground.
At which point, you were above MP height when the missile impacted you which is why it tracked you so cleanly. Your only hope in that situation is too dump a load of chaff the moment you started turning, might have spoofed the missile. But you reacted to the threat WAY too late. Id have turned 90° about 30 seconds before you did and dropped some chaff. Aim-54s and F-90s are relatively easy to defeat kinematically.
So at 2:40 you were getting RWR pings and can see the F-14 up high
At 2:53, you get launch warning. Given the range, I would assume Aim-54 or F-90 as you clearly arent uptiered to face anything worse than that
I would have at least turned 45° maybe a full 90° at this point
Flares and chaff dropped at this point wont help much, but never hurts to drop a few
At 3:02 you can clearly see missiles inbound and you still arent defending and then the game bumps you up (again, no idea why)
No CMs are dropped at this point. None
Then you die
So yeah my auto restrict control of the aircraft near ground is turned off… So yeah that bump could be that I hit the top of tree line butinstead of being damaged I was just bumped in the air…and after that I get I will die since I didnt intend to go up then turn…
Oke so since missile is tracking me even when Im at 25meters, does that mean if I goone head on at 25m that missile would nto hit me?
No. not necessarily.
Think of multipathing like the ground is a mirror. When you are below 60m. The missile confuses you with your reflection in the mirror and targets the reflection instead. (massive over-simplifcation)
If the missile is coming down at an angle though, you can be in the path of the missile and will get hit either way.
Also the F-90 and Aim54 have really big warheads so it can explode on the ground and still damage you if you are flying too low. (This is what kills me most of the time)
Your best chance of survival would have been to turn 90° the moment your RWR started screaming at you and dropped a dozen chaff.
Between kinematically taxing the missile, MP and Chaff. You likely would have defeated the missiles
Also. Charging down the middle of the map. Is a bad start anyway. You were bound to take the brunt of the opening volley
Its possible. Damn Stalinium :P
So if its tracking my mirror image? me slowing down would impact tracking of missile or even at multipathing hieight I still need to do 90 chaff and pray I dont get too much splash dmg?
With the missile fired high and coming down onto you in that angle. Then yeah. Your best bet is to notch and chaff. (this has always been the case. Killed someone in the F3 ages ago when it was still 100m, because my skyflash practically came down vertically on them as I was about 10k ft above)
MP is most effective vs missile fired at you at a similar alt. (you can loft the missile to create this angle though, its semi-effective)
Slowing down wont help, if anything, will make it worse, because you arent taxing the missiles energy as much.
Ok appricaite you taking time and explainin this to me, thank you
