The Type 93 (and other SAM vehicles) are extremely vulnerable to enemies, especially those who do not have Guns or LOAL missiles. It is difficult to hide, it is hard to avoid enemy detection and it is difficult to survive. This leads to the Type 93 often sitting in spawn as it is too dangerous to leave it. Though a camouflage net won’t make it invisible, it atleast allows it to hide in denser foliage or avoid detection at a glance. It also just looks cool.
This would be a researchable modification, making it so that the Type 93 has 17 modifications. There are a few possible positions that the ‘Camouflage Net’ modification can be.
My first thought was as a Tier IV modification (Purple Box), similar to the Type 90 (B) Fuji, PzH2000HU and Leopard 2A4M CAN (and likely others). However, I think this would make Tier IV way too inflated and Tier III way too small (6 Modifications vs 3 Modifications). As a result, an alternative is extending the ‘Protection’ Tab and placing it next to ‘Crew Restoration.’
If you have any suggestions for vehicles you’d like to see receive a Camo-Net, I’d be interested in doing it. Its fun finding images of vehicles in different configurations instead of scouring the internet for a single picture of an obscure prototype.
A more effective one might be the Type 93 with Barracuda since it should provide some IR masking from helis and jets.
