Description: The C13 was an Italian IFV that was made in the seventies. It’s story started when the Italian company Oto Melara started to design a new ifv in a private venture. The platform was designed to be a small, compact, and reliable multi-role vehicle capable of using multiple turrets and lodouts. The OTO made the vehicle as a possible stopgap between the older M113 and the newer projects like the Dardo, Bradley, and Warrior. Later, the company pushed the vehicle to replace the M113, which was used all around the world. The first two prototyopes were completed in 1983, both with different turrets. In the following years, the two prototypes were the subject of multiple tests, regardless of the other possible configurations. In 1987, another prototype was built, and the company started to market all the versions that were tested in those years. Unfortunately, in 1999, after all the testing and marketing campaigns, the project was stopped since no deal was signed from the start. Talking about its characteristics, the C13’s multiple configurations allowed it to be used for all possible purposes. This one in particular was the anty tank version, the TUA, armed with tow. The veichle is protected entirely by alluminium plates that can provide good protection against small firearms and medium-caliber machineguns. The crew was composed of three men, a commander, a driver, and a gunner. It is also able to carry up to nine fully armed infantrymen in the rear compartment. In the engine department, the C13 features an Isotta Fraschini Model ID 38 SS V6 supercharged diesel engine rated at 268.56 kilowatts (360 horsepower) at 2,800 revolutions per minute. It is mounted on the right side of the front of the vehicle. This engine gives the C13 one gearbox backward and five forward, with a maximum speed of 70 km/h. The tanks can store a total of 400 liters of fuel, allowing the vehicle to reach a total range of 500 km. In this configuration, the turret was fitted with 2 TOW missile launcher with a total of 6 ammunitions in the hull (a total of 8 missile) and a 12.7 mm browning machinegun near the driver optics.

Why it should be in the game: It will give to the Italian TT a powerful ATGM Launcher After the M113A1

Should have been the ATGM vehicle we got instead of the M113 TOW. +1

Definitely +1!
The C13 family is a source of some gun potential for the Italian tree and I’d love to see more of it beyond the T90

This would be a good addition to the SPG/ATGM launcher line since we have the variant with the cannon it shouldn’t be terribly hard to implement. Makes me wonder if there’s other armament variants that could be added to the Italian TT.

+1 would be nice to see both C13 and VCC-1 TUA

I definitely think this should come to the game. Italy doesn’t have to many dedicated ATGM carriers. +1

Question tho, which variant of TOW did it test or use? Should it have the 2A/2B, ITOW, etc.? Personally think it should get the 2A/2B.

Same variant of the M901

For sure. I ask that because this vehicle came out later than the original M901 variant we have in-game. When this went into testing and was pulled from market, the M901A1 up until the M901A3 used the TOW-2A and TOW-2B. If Italy had purchased said missiles, this vehicle could equip the enhanced TOW 2-series missiles, especially since we already have the M113 TOW in-game, this could get the better missiles and be a nasty tank destroyer for Italy at like BR 8.7+. (I wish we got later variants of the M901 for USA as well * Sigh *).

This will be fun +1

Honestly, make this the first Italian squadron vehicle, it would be perfect in that role, and we could get a normal TOW launcher version C13 in the tech tree
