Do you guys think I should try to create a suggestion for the C-130 if its the one that was used to drop the MOAB (mother of all bombs, the largest non-nuclear explosive to ever be used)
btw this isn’t a poll asking if you want to see it, I’m asking if people think its something that could be accepted as a suggestion.
i am not sure on the one hand it would be really interesting to see this bomb in game but i think our maps are to small, with a destruction radius of 150m you would kill with every bomb half of the enemy and half of your team. And if we implement MOAB we have also to implement the Father of all bombs. A second point is that the plane is to slow and has no defensive armament so i dont think it would work at the current state of the game

yes the russians build 2007 a bomb that got the inoffical name father of all bombs, in relation to the MOAB, the real name is Авиационная вакуумная бомба повышенной мощности what is translated to: Airplane vaacuum bomb with increased force. and has a weight of ca 7100kg (moab 9950kg ) and an tnt equivalent of 44t (MOAB 11t of TNT equivalent)
Just did some research the MOAB is indeed the world’s largest conventional bomb, as the FOAB is not actually a conventional explosive and is instead a thermobaric weapon (and if I recall using those anywhere near non-military targets is actually a war crime due to the effects those have on the human body before death) also the FOAB’s statistics are apparently really debatable since outside groups found a lot of discrepancies with info released
As far as i know also thermobaric bombs are counted as conventional bombs. And how lucky we are that there is no non combatant in war thunder XD
