Buying abroad?

Is it forbidden if I buy something in the other country? because will soon go on holiday

It’s not forbidden. But please be aware that it can lead to some issues in future (for example different currency in store etc).

Yes, I had a problem with the Gaijin store currency after spending two weeks on holiday in Hong Kong last year. While there, I only used the mobile version of the game on my phone for the daily login streak. When I returned to Europe, I found that my Gaijin store currency changed to Hong Kong Dollars and it stayed like that for many days, despite me logging in and out, etc. Eventually I had to contact the Gaijin customer service, but they could not help me, they said that I simply had to wait longer. It took several weeks for the store currency to revert to EUR.

Recently we introduced the improved system of keeping your currency settings regardless of your login location. Go to your profile in store and make sure it’s set correctly.

Just to say, a few of my friends came across this, when they are using some Gajing functions, they are asked to confirm location, and due to VPN and stuff they get allocated to where ever their VPN assigned them to, stopping them from using the local payment currency. Has that now been fixed?

They should access the store without any VPN and use the local bank card to make the payment and confirm the currency.

I know, but for me and many other Chinese players access is hard so we sometimes just keep VPN on, but thanks any way, noted.

You only have to do this once, yes. Wechat and Alipay are also available for confirming your currency as CNY.

Okay, thx.

That means if I’m on vacation I can also pay with the currency from the country but it stays then only 3 months so after that I can change again correctly?

Not exactly. You keep your initial currency regardless of where you login from.
But if you travel to another country you will have the option to change your location in store settings. However, this is only possible if you have a local bank card to make the payment and confirm currency change.

I also have a Visa card. then paying abroad shouldn’t be a problem right?

Yeah, shouldn’t be cause same card.

It’s not about the type of your bank card, but what country issued it. For example, if your account is set to EUR, then you will always see EUR prices in our store regardless of the ip of your current login. And you can purchase anything like you always do.

I wanted to pay with my Visa card but there is an error message why is that? in any other game I can use the Visa

That maybe automatic anti-fraud system kicking it. Please create a ticket in customer support to look into your specific case.
