Seems like a really fun event.
Might even be a good idea to make this a regular weekly thing, especially to help with stock grinds for aircraft that would otherwise struggle with stock missile loads.

Repeating this mode would only help certain planes, but fighters with weak flight models, attackers and bombers would still suffer

So far, fun little mode, maybe be a bit more interesting if it was slightly more spread out. Like if you had two spawn points so that not everyone goes into the same furball at the start, that way more 1v1 or 2v2 pockets would form. Not sure though as i’ve only played it twice.
Edit:
Some sort of spawn protection would be nice, having an enemy 500m above you when you spawn in makes things harder. If possible it would be good to have an area of the map where enemies can’t enter (getting the “return to battle” warning) perhaps, and if you stay there to long you count as inactive.

Partially agree with the weak flightmodel fighters, they can go for guard duty. i.e. Not get stuck in circle fights and instead go boom and zoom on players that are to focused on one of their teammates and has blinders on.
Currently this mode is 12.7+. there are a total of 6 attackers and zero bombers at that BR range and most of those attackers wont have an issue in this kind of mode.

What I was trying to say is that while this mode might help certain specific planes, a permanent or at least recurring ARB EC mode would help all kinds of planes however

Im hoping they’ll see the feedback for players wanting this and decide to add it as a weekend mode going from 8.0 and up, would be really fun

That is true, but many have asked for this kind of mode, like a lot of players. And an addition of a mode of this kind doesn’t hinder an addition of an EC mode later :)

Perhaps it would be better to separate them into several BR brackets like those.
- 7.7 - 8.7
- 9.0 - 11.0
- 11.3 - 12.0
- 12.3 - 13.3
- 13.7 - 14.3

Well i agree but for a simplistic view i could see them doing it the other way, either way i hope they keep touching up this event and keeping it, air has needed some new modes and such to get people to learn to dogfight at the higher BR’s lol
Honestly, any niche mode that won’t draw super many players could all be made into some sort of weekend rotation event thing. So every weekend the mode opens and what type of mode it is changes every week on a rotational basis, so if there are 4 different modes then a guns only mode would show up once every 4 weeks. If enough players play one of the modes regularly then it could be converted into a more permanent one while the less popular ones stay on rotation and a new mode could be added to replace the one made more permanent.

What I don’t understand in this case is that ARB EC already is a thing, there just is no way to play it.
Both ARB EC and a gun only mode like this have been asked for by many players.
Between this and Gaijin working on a new World War mode I feel like Gaijin legitimately doesn’t want to give us ARB EC and I cannot fathom why…
