Buk M3 minimal engagement distance

Here is a news article on it:

so in other words it’s basically r-37m seekerhead

not bad

so uhh, do they actually have any sources or are they just making it up

because over all the article is very russian propaganda heavy

Pretty sure they’re quoting MoD, not sure what kind of proof you want, it’s a brand new missile.

idk, it just reads like they were really drunk and hungover when writing after spending all the last day reading russian propaganda

How does it look like propaganda? Looks nothing like it

I don’t like what it says and it’s Russian therefore it’s propaganda

Keep the Buk M3 Viking with the 9M317MA missile, and add the S-350E Vityaz next update.

Man, it might sound petty or whatever.
But, for in game purposes, this would not do.
I read this article, and I acknowledge it, however, for the game standard it would need to be official MoD release, or manufacturer statement. What does not help, is the fact image there shows a Buk 1 or M1 firing, as can be seen based on the launcher and missile.
Is this story true? Probably. But for the game standards we would need more.
Why we don’t trust websites? I will use and example of AIM-7R. Many websites, even considered reliable with acces to good sources, said it was IR. But later official data was shown, and it was a TV seeker.
That is why in game we accept only official things.

Is there a image of them mounted on a 350 launcher?

I’m actually not sure, I do know it’s apart of its assortment of weapons, there’s three missiles it can use iirc.

Wait a minute, you mean TV like a contrast seeker like maverick? Or just IIR?

Either way thats cool as heck.

(Sorry for the off topic btw)
