Buk-M3: Branching Out

It’s only a problem when a certain nation has it.
Common thing on this forum.

Because it can’t IRIS-T is also stupidly strong. But dies to Russian helicopters and Kh-38
What missile or weapon do NATO or none Russian teams have that needs a 70km range SAM to counter them?

None, Unless Stormshadow is coming BUK is a massive power creep

Germany and Russia are on the same team most games when I play as Britain…Just retire my aircraft at this point

Some suggested Pantsir-SM, it was possible to add a composite vehicle from 3 SM pantsirs (66 missiles at 40 km or 264 at 15 km)

Time to learn how to notch and chaff then

Still an ACLOS SAM like the Pantsir-S1, doesn’t fill the requirement for a long range IR or active-radar SAM

Is it a trend? Maybe.
But people here just might be correct.
After all, it’s not like looking for 9M317MA, both in English and Russian internet, gives max a few websites and blogs claiming its existence, with data taken out of nowhere, and no official confirmation nor pictures to back it up.

Looking at the other thread about BUK I have no reason to think ARH missile is fiction.

Ok, and what there made you convinced MA exist?

You like to pretend you don’t know.

No, that is a genuine question

I’m telling you.
You’ve been the part of that thread, so it’s pretty easy to figure it out.

Not for me. The only proof there was posted for 9M317A. That is well known, but 9M317A is not the same as 9M317MA

At least notching in GRB is viable as you don’t get targeted by half a dozen missiles all from different angles.

Apparently missile is really easy to defeat by notching, unlike some other 25km death sphere AAs with IR missiles that cannot be flared effectively.

I suggest re-reading the thread.

I did re-read the relevant part, and i still do not see any confirmation of 9M317MA, nor confirmation missile of 9M317M type was fitted with ARH seeker.

Oh I see what’s the issue here.
Proof has been posted but you don’t want to accept it. I can’t help you with that.

I do not see it. Please, point me to the exact message where it was posted.
