It has nothing to do with being a Thai vehicle. You’re just going off topic
Nope. I’m just tired of Gajin adding dumb vehicles to already saturated BRs, e.g the new Russian Pantsir, the Dragoon, and here the BTR-3.

I’m currently living in Australia, but can you tell Gaijin to add aus servers because apparently they’ve forgotten that Australia actually exists in real life, not just in War Thunder :D
Well, as you know, if Thailand hadn’t bought BTR-3, then there would be no Thai BTR-3 in the Japanese tech tree.
So it has something to do with being a Thai vehicle.
Gaijin wouldn’t add UAE BTR-3U into japanese tech tree, innit?
How in the world can discussing the addition of Thai BTR-3E1 in the BTR-3E1 topic be off topic?
Eeerrrm… You know…
We need to get vehicles updated, 4 times a year. Right?
If we need to ask them stop adding vehicles because BR are saturated. As a 200% joke, maybe the US/USSR/GER ends up with getting no vehicles in the whole year…
Elevation speed improved + ESS added.

Second attempt to restore FCS:

@YontzeeUA
If the ability to fire ATGMs on the move is implemented (as per the accepted bug report), and if the full recreation of the BTR-3E1 FCS (with duplicated controls) is also accepted and implemented later, what would you think about giving the BTR-3E1 the «DTC10-30» shell along with a BR increase (and a thermal channel for its UAV)?
This is a Chinese 30mm shell for the ZPZ02 / ZPT-99 cannon, which are clones of the 2A72 (or the Ukrainian ZTM-1). To my knowledge, Thailand purchased Chinese VN1 APCs (export version of the ZBL-08) armed with this cannon. Following the precedent of the «BTA4» and «GP125» shells given to the BM Oplot-T (since Thailand IRL also operates Chinese VT-4 tanks that use these rounds), the Thai BTR-3E1 could logically utilize the «DTC10-30» shell as well.
Absolutely it should get DTC10-30 if it’s BR is brought up from the missile capability, probably around 9.7-10.0 but nothing greater than that. Also seriously solid job on all the bug reports, much appreciated. Have you seen any sources on the horizontal traverse capability? It just feels slow compared to videos I’ve seen before.
According to the sources I know, the BTR-3E1 has a stated turret rotation and vertical guidance speed of 35°/s both horizontally and vertically.
However, in-game this is only available with a fully maxed-out crew, including Expert and Ace qualifications (as is the case for all other vehicles in the game).
when will the BTR get the tracking and fire on move capabilities?
or are we again nerfing vehicles for fun of it?
Bug report regarding an error in the accepted BTR-3E1 report has been updated:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/PtkWIBZhmQsS
I have also found two errors regarding the spall liner protection:
I will file a separate bug report for this later…
UPD
I will also submit a bug report regarding the correction of the belt capacity for the 30mm cannon…
UPD 2
And another bug report regarding the missing armored bulkhead between the fighting compartment and the engine compartment…

The following bug reports have already been submitted:

While the bug reports are pending review, I decided to conduct a little research in War Thunder, as the BTR-3E1 has appeared in the game with its ZTM-1 (essentially a Ukrainian 2A72) featuring a metal truss frame around the barrel to improve accuracy and reduce vibrations: can you guess from what distance this group was achieved based on 50 continuous rounds using a standard belt (AP-HE-AP-HE), and can you tell which vehicle is shown in which screenshot — the BTR-82AT without the truss frame or the BTR-3E1 with the ZTM-1 and the frame? 👀
I am assuming BTR 3 is worse?
After what happened with the oplot, i think we both know the answer
After conducting several accuracy tests at a 1000-meter range (continuous 50-round bursts to achieve maximum spread), I can say that I’m 99% sure they share the same accuracy pattern in the game.
This raises a question: is it a case of reduced recoil and spread during long bursts for the 2A72 (despite lacking the truss frame) relative to the other gun, or is it decreased accuracy for the ZTM-1 (despite having the frame) compared to the first one?
Its the same case where Puma and BMPT got the same accuracy value. Selective realism
Thailand has some domestic armored Cars hopefully we can get one with a ATGM but that’s about it.
There’s a few domestic options still:
Chaiseri First Win AFV FSV with 30mm RWS
Chaiseri First Win ARV AD-H with 30mm RWS and anti-drone radar
Chaiseri Guardian-T featuring Sabrah 105mm turret with Spike missile launcher
Chaiseri Victory Car with 106mm recoilless rifle
DTI Black Widow Spider with 30mm unmanned turret
DTI Sea Tiger AAPC with 30mm unmanned turret
DTI D-Iron RCV with 30mm RWS. Not a domestic Thai vehicle for this list, but a very interesting vehicle anyways.
Thairung MU4 with either 106mm recoilless rifle or Starstreak SAM launcher
Thairung Transformer with either Igla-S launcher or RBS-70 launcher
Wild Fox FAV with 73mm anti tank rocket launcher
Chaiseri First Win ATV with 30mm cannon, Stinger and Hellfire missiles. The First Win ATV was built but only armed with 12.7mm so far.
Panus AFV-420P with either a 30mm unmanned turret, 12.7mm RWS with ATGM launcher or Stinger SAM launcher. The AFV-420P was built, but only armed with 12.7mm RWS (no ATGM) so far.
Panus R600 with 30mm unmanned turret. Other variants with 105mm cannon, 120mm cannon and Stinger SAM launcher were also shown. The R600 was built, bot so far hasn’t mounted the turret yet.
This is only Thai domestic vehicles, there a more that are modifications of other vehicles, for example a Thai FV101 with new thermal sight, new engine and ERA, and vehicles that aren’t operated by other nations in game like the BTR-3E1/RK.
