BTR-22: The VPK-7829 Bumerang Alternative

Having this equipped with the Ballista turret would be AWESOME! +1

Right? I wish I could find more images of it. I only have two, one on the top of the post and another but grainy one in the specifications section.

I hope we get more BTR family vehicles. There are a ton of options, not only from the BTR-60/70/80/90 but also their cousins such as the TAB and OT-64.

it would be the same as btr-80a (90 still just a project btw)

Not really, the base BTR-80A doesn’t have thermals or a stabiliser

It would be like the BTR-82A/BTR-82AT

Guys, the sad truth is that in WT BTR-22 or 90 will be less playable than BMP-2M, which is far not OP.

The K-17 and Kurganets BMPs are still the project for now (such as BTR-22 btw).

Imo, the machine we really need, which is now used by russian armed forces is BMD-4M with 3ubr11 APFSDS-T ammo for 2A72 30mm cnn and 4 sec KD of anti-tank missle. The reason why I think so is that BMD-4M is a really fast machine, better protected, slightly better armed in compare with BMD-4. The real light tank - small, fast, kind of deadly.

P.S. some additional armor improvements on photos

right.

Battle Ratings exist for a reason. A BTR-22 around 9.3 will be perfectly playable.

Would be a nice addition for new IFVs, one things that’s lacking in the USSR tech tree. Now imagine a GSh-6-30 mounted on this with a 9M39 launcher and a S-5 pod centered on the top of the turret. *Cof, original ideia.

Perhaps, perhaps. I don’t think it would be something good at gameplay, but if you like it, why not. Just I’am personally dreaming about a top tier light tank.

Is there any extra information about this specific BMD-4M with cages all around?

From official Rostekh t.me channel. And those supplies happen pretty often, there are a lot of BMD-4Ms.

For more info, I would recommend you Hellfire555 youtube channel.

Thank you.

hah I’m sorry I know this is not a BMD-4M topic, but anyway

Recent spotting of the BTR-22 in likely service

Huh, dont think I ever saw the three stripes in you know where or anywhere close
