British Weapon Systems - Technical data and discussion

you can launch them and drive them down like you do with all beamriding ordinance

But you have to pitch the nose forward for the heli making it harder to focus on guiding the missile?

no just launch them straight, and move your sight down

Ok will give it a go, didn’t work for me earlier

the FOV after launch is bigger, but not that much bigger. Basically if you used beamrider atakas, they should function the same

In the loadout selection menu?
Happens sometimes when they add new loadout presets that weren’t there when you unlocked the modifier for that weapon. Makes you buy “ammo” for the additional weapons.

Yeah. Just very strange.

With the new bomber damage models it is almost impossible for the Rapier to kill them lmao, just dumped all 8 missiles into the IL-28 in test drive and it flew away without a scratch… Is it something that can be bug reported or is it just working as intended™ due to the small warhead?

Can you check if hits to the engine do anything?

This could be proximity fuse shenanigans that occurred on Dev, or it could just be rapier being rapier.

Red Arrows camo for the Hawk T.1A has a couple of bits that aren’t historically accurate, so wrote a ticket:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/ZFGAdyTubul0

Played it since they allowed 4x 30mm and 4x Firestreaks together?

Nope.

I’ve been playing the rapier to try and see this in-game but at least with the B-52 because it’s 8.3 in GRB afaik I’m not even seeing them.
Good luck with 35mm SPAA.

Why is every jet now limited to 11G, Typhoon has the same pull now as a F/A-18 and 1G more than F-4 Phantom.

Suppose it’s to stop Typhoon and Rafale from getting into the notch…This selective realism is exhausting.

You can set the engines on fire if you are lucky, but in my experience even that is not consistent. The only way to kill bombers now is to aim for the cockpit and pray that it hits there lol

Right, might be proximity shenanigans from that descriptor.

Been a long time since unlocking an attacker, but doesnt gaijin normally give you at least SOME kind of attacker weapon?

Hawk T.1A with only the 30mm aden is… sigh.

Only higher BR ones (Like the Tonka) or ones without anything else (like the Buc)

Even the Jaguar GR1 or Harrier GR3 at 9.7 only has 30mm ADEN stock. GR1A gets 9Gs but no A2G

Truly grim. Guess time to go hunting SPAA then xD

Gaijin didn’t mention this as far as I can tell, however, they have buffed every Hawk ingame (Hawk 200s, T.1A and 209).

They reduced the induced wing drag when turning quite significantly, so the Hawk’s now retain energy better giving them noticeably improved sustained turn capabilities.

The T.1A still feels a bit underwhelming due to it’s engine, however, the Hawk 200s feel much better now.
