British Weapon Systems - Technical data and discussion

ah ok im a bit late to the party lol, it would be cool to see them ingame

Probably not as useful as Brimstones but they may come in handy somehow

useful anti heli weapon if nothing else 14 SAL? rockets at the cost of just 2 pylons, not even Brimstones can match that

I guess they could be useful against the new Pantsir with 48 missiles, if you can get close enough

Maybe, probably wouldnt get close enough to employ for that.

Yeah. The length of the pod (extrapolated from the spacing of the bomb ejector lugs) matches the extended 71 inch LAU-131A/A or LAU-68F/A launcher used for APKWS-II. Rather than a regular 60 inch length LAU-68/LAU-131 for unguided rockets
apkws
And in other photos it looks like it only has the rear firing umbilical port, rather than front and back ones that the shorter pods had.
Arnold Defense

And it’s definitely not a CRV-7 LAU-5002 recovered from old Harrier stocks, because those are 6 tube launchers, not 7. They had an intervalometer in the middle where the 7th tube would be.

The USA and Ukraine have proven the utility of APKWS-II as a cheaper C-UAS weapon than AAMs, for the role Typhoon is currently performing.

Do we have any indication as to which variant of AGR-19 / -20 / -21 they are loaded with?

The FALCO (AGR-20F), Is most likely but hasn’t yet been implemented in game.

Typhoon APKWS suggestion is up (for all Typhoon models in game), now we all just hope haha.

It’s just a prac round for the initial testing. Blue WTU-1B warhead.

Would there be grounds to have them added to the FALCO report at this point? As that is the obvious choice for a C-UAS role?

I mean there was always grounds for it, I’ll nudge the report.

Ok.

Gunjob, do you know whats going on with the falcon radar? im guessing its not coming this update now but smin also says it wont get a BR decrease if this is the case?

So anyone else of the belief given that we are likely getting very close to release that the GBT 155 will be released with tue current RoF/BR?

NGL Its massively putting me off buying it, as its a preorder premium and been “ready earlier” given the devblog release date, it feels like this is the intended RoF now and it will be, by far, the worst SPG of its BR bracket due to the insane reload time after the first stage rack is used.

Doubt it. AS90 now has first stage ammo just like the SP155. they just havent coded the different reload speeds for the stages yet.

Im not sure if anyone already mentioned it, but the AS90 has had it’s ready rack modelled properly, it’s now 2 rounds

reload rates on the AS90/GBT arent done yet

I mean the AS90’s reload rates are pretty accurate to real life

The GBT however isn’t so we will see how they model it then

image

It’s a bit ridiculous that the vertical and horizontal hydraulic drives of the AS90 are modelled as one unit despite being completely seperate.

that hydraulic pump is also not a pump

its electrical power.

I dont know about the ram to elevate/depress the gun, cant find images to confirm it properly, i assume its wrong though. very wrong
