British Weapon Systems - Technical data and discussion

Test 1:
Time to Complete Driving Normally: 1:36
Time to Complete Driver Assist: 1:31
Time Saved: 5 Seconds

Test 2:
Time to Complete Driving Normally: 1:37
Time to Complete Driver Assist: 1:32

Not a clue why its so different to the Scimitar
Striker seems to lack a lot of torque when at speed doing the radius curves

EDIT: because i can’t send 3 consecutive posts

once again doing more testing shows that the Sd.Kfz 251 series really benefit from it,

ill save sending the whole list again cause it now has 68 vehicles plotted

I edited it into this post due to the 3 consecutive post things, but ive added a lot more vehicles to the Tally;
Link to the Spreadsheet Here: Driver's assist testing - Google Documenten

I’ll also be working on a seperated version

rather than the whole course, it just be either the 2 sharp 90’s and the large sweeping curves,
to help avoid errors that appear when a vehicle is unfairly terrible at one but good at the other, and to see where this feature fits properly

If anyone wants me to test a specific vehicle ill do it providing I can use it
(why did I need to plot 80 vehicles damnit, then feel the need to triple the dataset)

do we know much about the meteor compared to something like a pl-15? in terms of range & radar n such

does anyone know why the TTD’s reload is 1 second slower at 8.7 seconds than the leo 2a4’s reload of 7.8 seconds and over 2 seconds slower than the abrams 6.5 seconds despite having a similar wine-rack reload system? Are there any documents that have caused it to be that slow?

Reload speed of manually loaded tanks is a balance consideration for Gaijin, nothing to do with actual real time reloads

yeah 8.7s is the standard reload for the 105s iirc, it is kinda sad to still have it at that BR

Yeah, this is a damn shame when you consider tanks like the Vijayanta/Vickers MBT were specifically noted for their time on having a stupidly good effective rate of fire for their time having their advantage pulled for balance (IE other tanks firing faster for balance negates their arguably single main advantage from IRL)

Also chaps, technical data/discussion, nobody talking about the Marut yet? No “oh boy lets guess”? Sadge.

I mean the vickers Mk.1 and Vijiyanta do have 5 second reload as opposed to the 6.7(?) of others

Its very good to have

Most NATO 105mm guns have a really long 6.7 second reload for no reason apart from balance

@Gunjob

With IIR missiles coming and no implicit sign that IIR is going to be modeled ahistorically (as I would expect a dev comment in the devblog for the SAM thingy if that were the case)

Is it officially time to get the poking stick out for BOL?

We’ll see when the dev server opens

Running into an issue with the ap bombs, can you skip bomb with the armour piercing bombs? Trying to do it with Wyvern, and having no luck at all (torpedoes can’t change depth stroke if used from plane, so trying to find alternative).

Have not had any luck with the 2000lb or the 500lb.

That is not possible in game. The bomb touches water it falls under.

Well, that’s unfortunate. Was hoping they’d be at least a little usable but it is what it is. Though now it seems can’t skip bomb anything when it did at least used to function. Might just not be my day for the other bombs.

They did, FRS1 and FA2 did routinely and both GR1 and F3 had them in Granby but they found they kept breaking on the Tornado from the modified launch rails so stuck with 9Ls till ASRAAM
