British m1a1 aim sv why?

my question is why is the m1a1 aim a squadron vehicle in the british tree? surely it would be better utilised as a tree vehicle to fill out the 12.0 line up and to give us more tree abrams

Does it really matter if its “free” anyway? Its not paywalled like premium, so no capability is lost for F2P players

Probably to make equally as accessible as the one in the US tree

i mean it made sense for it to be like that in the us tree, not the british tree now we are having in tree aussie vehicles, but to me it makes no sense as it would add more being in tree, i get its not difference as its still accessible but just doesn’t make sense

Cause it can only be a squadron vehicle, because that’s how it was added.
Otherwise you need a non-AIM Abrams for tech tree.

Treating players fairly & equally > biases.

why? being the aim isn’t a american vehicle they never used the aim package, they got their seps so they don’t need the aim

because australia is a british subtree

The Marines used M1A1 AIMs, & it’s still a squadron vehicle.
Stop demanding double standards.

what makes more sense as a british squadron vehicle is either a oman challenger 2 or ukrainian challenger 2 with era

No…
Either you want M1A1 AIM in Britain or you don’t.
It was always going to be a squadron vehicle in Britain, because that’s sensible & fair to players.
You keep vehicles the same classification if you add duplicates.
It’s why the RAM II in Britain is also a premium.
It’s why the Skink in USA is also tech tree.
& it’s why M1A1 AIM in Britain was always going to be squadron.

No double standards.

the whole game is filled with double standards, other wise the japanese su30 would be premium like the russian and chinese one

Say less, British trialed M1A1 HA for the tech tree

I think it’s because they are setting up a standard, considering they liked it to the Ram II.

With all sub-tree vehicle being copied (moved) to there new home will be added the same way it is in the tree it was added frist.

What this means for event vehicles not sure yet, but premiums and SQVs for sub-trees will stay as such.

didn’t know we trailed the m1a1 did this one have the 120mm gun?

Probably so there’s a “top tier” squadron vehicle for UK like the US AIM/Oplot/2PL/T-80UK

Are they going to remove the American one?

Why would they ?

Would make no sense to remove it. Plenty of people still spend GE on it.

I’d prefer both Australian Abrams be Researchable, but only in order to reduce the 10.7-12.7 gap that was just created at the top of the UK TT. USA should definitely get a USMC AIM though in part as compensation.

There’s no need to duplicate Premium/Researchable/Squadron status with vehicle transfers like this, in fact I’d prefer if it were unequal. The best example I can give is the Lees & Grants;

  1. US Lees Researchable, UK Lees Premium
  2. UK Grants Researchable, US Grants Premium

Both TTs receive the same vehicles, but both remain unique in how they receive it.

No, Smin said there is no plan to change the US AIM as a result of this.
