And the t-80u for the brits ;)
That’s an idea. If its in Bovington, then britain surely should get it on its tree :P
Fairly certain they’ve got things like Tiger 2s ;P
I mean the UK uses the Hawk anyway so that one I don’t think many if anyone would object to. Personally I wouldn’t mind the CF-18 right now, but thats more because I’m looking for anything that is top tier material that isn’t the Tornado and Phantoms. Which on paper should be getting turbo (insert word i can’t use here) but aren’t because British players for the most part actually have a modicum of skill. shock horror lol
Yeah, I agree totally on all points, But I named canadian Hawks, because I believe the UK exclusively used them as trainers, but I think Canada and maybe one or 2 other nations actually used them for combat and therefore would be armed.
But yeah, I’d take anything at this point over the Tornado ADV or Phantom. Hoping for FA2 sooner rather than later and Rumours of a SA Gripen, but Id rather take the FA2.
Trainers can be, and are, armed. While the most interesting Hawk variants tend to be exports, the T.1/A and T.2 are fully capable of combat on their own.
Aye the most exotic ones are the exports
Yeah… but it can be hard work getting the correct loadouts on some vehicles. I feel like adding “british” hawks is a recipe for it be highly limited on what loadout options it could have.
It depends, if its anything like the swede one you barely see they will tweak the ammo detenation variables to normal, making it a tinder box that gets insta ammoracked if you get sneezed at
Yeah, this isnt going to be the magic bullet that fixes top tier Britain, but most probably hope it will be
I wouldent assume so, it has all the same problems the chally 2s have, with the addition of a horrific reverse. Factor in the fact its going to be put in the game with no lineup unless you uptier it or uptier some challies, i just see this being a one game leaver vehicles, which less people will buy into then the vijayjay which to date i have seen once in game and i promptly sent it back to the hanger XD
Yeah. Its going to be another DOA vehicle. Even if it was an interesting vehicle that I actually wanted to play, anything 10.7 currently is always going to be DOA. Unless its completely broken OP.
Or it can be uptiered without much issue like the aforementioned ifv’s we are lacking. Ironically this has just further highlighted the issue with the british tree having no support. We quite literally have 7 soon to be 8 mbts, a single aa and a aa/spg.
Yep. At least most of those MBTs are getting massive RP reductions. going to make it a lot easier to farm out. I can also skip the SA SPAA as well. Going to be handy. But its still a really weak line up that is 100% reliant on CAS/CAP aircraft.
If just reminds me gaijin has been out of touch for what the british tree has needed since the chally 2 tes
case and point this banger of a description for its devblog
if you don’t belive me you can check out the devblog yourself: [Development] Challenger 2 TES: a new perspective - News - War Thunder
The light tank/ifv issue has been a present issue for over 3 years and gaijin has done literally nothing to fix it, with iirc the last light or ifv we actually got was the VFM-5
Haha. Yeah… Its a shame the Chally 2s are probably never going to be finsihed. The entire reason I endured the mess that is APDS was because I actually wanted to play with Chally 2 and some of the CAS options like the Apache… Suffice to say. Im very disappointed in them (chally 2, not the apache, that is surprisingly fun). But the overall experience is definetly. Meh… A new IFV really really needs to be a priority, but no no, take a T-90 instead.
I just dont get it personally, some of them as highlighted are simple additions, like the stormer with hitfist 30 turret, we have both the chassis and the turret for it in game already, and it marks a big improvement over the warrior, but nope we dont have it. Its just odd, as it cant be a documentation issue, just a complete drive from gaijin to actually do anything.
All i know is the top tier brit line up is still the same, two challies, the adats and the rooikat 105 if you buy it, as even when that post was out no one was playing the ratel XD
Yeah. I did watch this
Its conclusion. Britain is not meant to be able to do everything. But instead fill in the gaps when in line ups for other nations. Which is why Britain only makes up less 1/4 of a team usually.
Which is a joke when you realize we have countless vehicles that are not just competitive, but unique and interesting, but we just wont get them.
Yep… but thats “minor” nation status for you.
Then you look at sweden, which is meta hounded beyond any reason or china who are actually getting stuff they need. in terms of navy and ground britian should be on par with the big three. ironically our air development is stronger than Germany in the post war into cold war.
