British Aerospace Harrier GR.5: The First Second Gen Harrier for the RAF

want them in the tech tree

a man with a beard is making a funny face and says what you mean by that

gap between GR.7 and the jags

There can still be a GR.5 that goes there, but UK needs a Rank 7/8 fixed wing strike aircraft and the US just got their AV 8B NA

The pegasus 11-61 would probably be a better option for that, or something like a saudi tornado, both the GR.5 and 5A have a good chance to fill a role in the tree

Harrier GR.5 not equipped GEC Marconi FLIR at nose, IIR guided AGM-65 and laser designator targeting pod (TIALD) like AV-8B Day Attack or AV-8B basic

For Harrier GR.5A, similar to Harrier GR.7 and AV-8B Night Attack but without AIM-9M sidewinder and BOL 304 Dispensers. and no AGM-65G, G2, J & K Maverick

I guess ?

What I meant with the Harrier GR.5/GR.5A as more of an option, but I would prefer to have the Harrier GR.5 (Pegasus 11-61) as a Rank 7/8 premium strike jet for Britain
