Verdi-2 looks lke it would be a LOT of fun. Might even help augment our rather poor light tank line up at the same time. Its the perfect addition
I fully think the Falcon could be downtiered to 7.7 and still be balanced and effective. There are 2 large problems with the British spaa.
- There is a gap between the skink and the falcon.
Solution: move the falcon down in br or add a spaa that can fill that gap, and is more effective than the skink (the bosvark is better than the skink)
- The British also need a spaa that has sams. Every country in the game gets sams at 9.something (Generally 9.3, except for Italy at 10.0 with the SIDAM 25)
Solution: Add a tank like the Alvis Ltd - Stormer Air Defence (my favorite spaa, also would be a simple addition because both the cannon, the hull, and the sams are already in the game). They could also add something from the South African army and get more diversity in the British tech tree.
or a rover with a LML Javelin

Just imagine darting about the battlefield in a rover :D
But yeah, Avlis air defence would be good
Personally, I reckon get rid of the APDS off the Falcon, drop it to 7.0, and give the ZA-35 a slightly more punchy round (if such thing exists)
Sure does
To explain it a little further, ZA-35 in game uses standard Oerlikon shells. It could use them, but irl it did not, it uses local custom shells. The only that could be said to be correct is HE-T, custom ones were HE, HE base fuze, SAPHEI, APCI-T, and there is a possiblility it had AHEAD during its last years of testing but no hard proof as of now.
Base fuse is SAPHE
No. Im going to use standard Oerlikon to showcase it, as they are not cutouts of Denel PMP ammo.
Base fuze HE

SAPHEI

You can see that SAPHEI has a much thiccer shell
In game:

Ah
After looking around, i came to the conclusion that, unless i missed something, API-T round present on Oerlikon type guns in game, is actually SAPHEI-T.
Another thing about the VERDI-2 is the extending sight is already in the game with the commander sight on the Swedish Leo2.
Shouldnt the Swingfire get that?
my brother in christ it is one of the most horrendous vehicles in the game, it spams 30mm APDS and is a free nuke quite often. Ive lost a couple nuke drops because I was racing a falcon to it, I still cant believe that an Abbot with an AA gun does what it can.
Im for all SPAA having APDS and all armour piecing removed so they only get SAPHE and HE to stop such disgusting vehicles doing what they are used for. only then would I agree to it going down in BR

Thunderbolt Missile
- Caliber: 60mm (Booster?)
- Launch Mass: n/a
- Max Speed: Mach 4 (1,372 m/s)
- Guidance Type: n/a
- Max Overload: n/a
- Guidance Time: n/a
- Warhead: n/a
This is as much information I was able to find online about these two systems with out spending more time digging.
What do you mean?
Doesnt the Swingfire also have a telescopic/extending sight on the roof?
Many people like the idea of it being moved down in Br and getting the APDS round removed. I love the APDS rounds and would hate to see them go, but if it means we can get a new spaa with sams like the VERDI-2 or the Alvis Stormer, I would be all for getting the APDS rounds removed.
Nah swingfires gor a removeable sight for the gunner to sit outside and control

So after some research, yeah it’s supposed to get it. The scope on the swingfire is supposed to be like 3-4 foot above the tank (in the game it’s like 1-2.) But the VERDI-2 commander sight is supposed to extend like 15ft. This Is because all the sight on the VERDI-2 are electronic (cameras.) there were no physical windows.
I found more info

BAe CFAM (Common Forward Area Missile) low cost antiarmour and anti-helicopter missile built on the experience BAE gained during work on the British Army’s requirement for a high volocity missile system to supplement the Tracked Rapier. BAe’s entry was the Thunderbolt.
BAe then became involved with Orbita Sistemas Aerospaciais SA in the development of a low altitude SAM system for the Brazilian Army.
CFAM performace put at mach 4, 5000m range. Missile is 60mm in diameter and has overall length of 1.5m. For control it relies mainly on body lift with 4 hot-gas lateral thrusters arranged around the forebody of the spinning missile.
This information was takem from Jane’s Defense Weekly…my problem as it ran over two pages my A4 photocopy does not have the date and page number at the bottom.
Does any one know of the Marconi close air defense weapon (SR-SAM) or the Drop-nose short range missile seen as a replacement for starstreak. ?

The third of the missiles is MSA-3.1, which Orbita is developing in collaboration with British Aerospace. It is a shoulder-launched surface-to-air high-velocity missile and a further development of the Thunderbolt system originally devised by British Aerospace to meet a British Army requirement.
It is guided by an automatic-command-to-line-of-sight system, through a digital laser link, using a stabilized sight and an auto-tracker which follows the missile’s flare.
The MSA-3.1 missile has a diameter of only 60mm but a length of 1,510mm, most of which is accounted for by its solid propellant motor that gives it a velocity of 1,300m/s, or Mach 3.9, and a maximum range of 6km. The nose of the missile contains a kinetic energy warhead with a tungsten annular cutter. Together with its launch tube the missile has a mass of 12.5kg and the mass of complete system, including the sight and guidance unit is 18.7kg.
So… Make a suggestion. It will be perfect multipurpose anti-tank anti-air missile.
Also some source says its solid non explosive damage, The explosion is used to open SAM to increase the area of damage. So it should have more pen than starstreak, and make big shards splash.
