Pardon me for asking, but why is that the case? I get they’re the same ship, but there really shouldn’t be much confusion, considering they have two separate names. Also, does the same rule apply to refits?

40s reload time is historically correct, a more accurate sustained rate is one round every 45-50s after first four rounds (in the pusher hoists).
This doesn’t take gun elevating time into account, it just the handing room operation that slows down loading process.
Ian Buxton’s new book also says the reload time in service is over 40s, his statement is based on: Handbook for 16-inch B.L. Mark I Gun on Mark I Triple Mounting, 1928. ADM 186/285-287.

I do see a 5 second reload buff for the Hood, Repulse, Renown and Barham though.
Though it does depend on whether or not handing rooms are modeled or not
