Yeah, that part was resolved, but there was another issue from Jutland where they realised that having the shells above the powder charges? (genuinely cant remember which way round it was) was also an issue, so on Vanguard they swapped it.
That in addition to the automatic loaders and better discipline with the storage helped a lot
Vanguard had to get such an extensive rework because the guns and mountings were ww1 designs which still had the older magazines above shell rooms layout. They did this by building a seperate powder elevator which still moved the powder up to the original position of the powder scuttles above the shell room.
KGVs 14inch were new designs so they were designed shell room above magazine from the start as seen in this graphic for the different flash zone subdivisions
(green is cordite handling, yellow is shell room)
Honestly there are ALOT of real laid down designs that need added before Gaijin goes full paper…
Looking at you half the Russian naval tree.
Where are the original South Dakota’s?
I wanna slap a Soyuz with 12, 16in/50 MK2’s.
I want to yeet 12 of those shells down range unsuspecting ships. Especially considering ALL SIX of the original South Dakota’s were more complete than any of the Soyuz Classes.
The most complete Soyuz was in the 20% range, the South Dakota’s were upwards of 40% complete, and a couple of them were reportably FLOATING and ready to go for the Big work, that being fitting the turrets and superstructure, and the fitting out of everything.
its a Factual Statement that the Iowa’s were heavily under armored, a problem that was planned to be fixed with the Montana’s, and the 2nd batch, Kentucky and later were meant to be way heavier armored.
If they aren’t in game, then thats just Gaijin being bullshit again.
Honestly armor in general is really screwy in this game naval wise, I see Alaska’s and Scharnhorst’s Penning the belt of my Barham at 20km and ammo-racking me, yet my Barham can’t belt pen a Des Monies class at like 12km.
