well on the Russian dev stream they talked about the f117 but i get what you mean

Tbh these jets are gonna make SAM destroyers almost mandatory

@HK_Reporter do you find anything on the location of this armour? according to my book those are metadyne rooms and i cant find any reference to them being protected

Another thing is, do you have anything on the fore belt? in my drawing it looks like it extends well past the water break (or whatever you call the thing on the bow before the guns)

Superstructure armour:

Bridge should be 3in front and 2.5in to side and rear
in game its 2.5in all around

im also unsure if the 5.25" handling rooms were armoured

8.3 is the max you can bring on the dev server at the moment, even though I thought they said 8.7 which should mean both Sea Vixen and Buc S1 can be brought, but alas, you cant at the moment.

but im really interested in seeing how the new ship hold up to direct hits from the Buc S1s 8x 1000lb bombs or the Canberras 2x 4k bombs

The armour model of Vanguard in game is based on original blueprints. Public sources have many errors

Some minor mistakes had been acknowledged

Is it based on the “as fitted” drawings or the design drawings?

I’m aware that public sources may be inaccurate, i’m using R A Burt’s book HMS Vanguard

See, I was going to bring the scimitar for the bullpups. Might bring the sea hawk as a fighter.

EDIT: Alternatively, sea venom, just for how fucking cool it looks and for having a radar.

Bullpups would probably do no damage.

To a battleship? Probably not, but to destroyers & even light cruisers? Bullpups can certainly remove a good chunk of crew.

How does everyone think the Vanguard is performing vs the other ships on dev?

so it might be me seeing things but at least with the sap the dispersion feels better it would have to be confirmed in the files but it feels better

when aiming at the heavy cruiser in the test drive i would get 6 out of 8 hitting most of the time but was getting like 2 out of 8 with hood on the same target @Morvran what are your thoughts if you have test driven it

Vanguard?

Its fine so far. Definetly unfinished in areas but Ive been having issues with aiming in general on the dev server

the accuracy of the guns feels much nicer in the test drive to me at least and the better pen is nice but we will see if it is worth the 8.0 on the live server as 7.7 might get some down tiers and make bringing the 7.3’s less painful or if it is ever worth playing it as you have a 7.3 lineup that will get nice down tiers and it may not be worth taking vanguard till the kgv’s and lion get added and even a g3 or n3 if we are lucky
