Nah, naval torpedo/dive bomber

Do we count AShM’s as torpedoes that move though the air?

Potentially :D

Then yeah the Gripen, FRS.1/FA.2, and Tornado MFG and Gr.1B will be torpedo aircraft.

Well they basically have to use it for everything since it is the only thing they have besides their Hawks lol

Further to Morvan’s comment, basically a lot of software optimising. the big gamechanger is AIM-120C-5. which would have a bit more pull than 120B.
My limited understanding anyway

Don’t get why the FGR.4 is in the ground attack line instead of the multirole line, as well as why the F.2, which is basically air to air only, is in the multirole line…

Wait a minute… Why is there an F-15C? lol

I reckon it will be first 2-3 Typhoons in the Tornado F3 line as interceptors/fighters and then FGR4 in the FGR2 line as the mutlirole

Has much better range, being also faster than earlier versions.

HS1200 was what got me, the British F-16 that didn’t get past the design phase due to the standard Budget Cuts

I didn’t know they could split it into that many damn Typhoons to be honest.

Typhoon DA2 (So the prototype typhoon), Possibly a second prototype maybe… depends how much they want to add to the first one.

Then the Typhoon F2

Then Typhoon FGR4.

There is then the possiblity for the next one as well. Typhoon FGR4s are currently being upgraded as we speak. Also options for other prototypes, test aircraft, etc etc. So maybe room for an event one and or premium as well.

Honestly this point I’d rather they didn’t add a gimped proto typhoon. Just give the full fat experience.

Im hoping for a prototype only because it might mean we get one this side of Christmas, 2024. But I think it still would be really fun aircraft to fly though, and still just as competitive.

Cheetah D.2 and D.4? wouldn’t you mean the C?
Just to be clear…

Cheetah E

Named “E” since its the upgrade of the Mirage IIIE airframe, its relatively on par with what we find on the Kifr C.2, Elta 2001B radar, only SRAAMs, afaik not much in terms of AGMs.

Cheetah D

Named “D” since its an upgrade of…the Mirage IIIDs, although some examples of the Cheetah Ds came from Israeli Nesher Airframes, this is also at the same spec as the Cheetah E, although, since the D was keept in service a lot longer, it got an engine upgrade (Atar 9C to Atar 9K50, also tested russian RD-33 derivative) and eventually had some sort of designating capability, but i dont think it could self designate.

Cheetah C

Lastly, the Cheetah C, this is probably what you all refer to… named “C” after being a development of the Kfir “C”, its characteristics are really close to what we see on the Kfir 2000, Elta 2032 radar, Python and Derby Missiles, etc…Only difference is on the engine, since South Africa was under an embargo, the choice of engine fell on the ATAR 9K50.

There is also the Cheetah R, but its just a recon mirage converted to the same standard the E and D had.

Skyflash on ours too. Yeah, differences should be really small between them.

Interesting. So now that basically just leaves HMD right? Maybe some minor engine tweaks that by the sounds of it. Only really benefit SB where fuel economy comes into play. Gunna be interesting to see if there is anything else on the dev server (or even live if they skip it on the dev server)

That depends on how fuel-hungry the Gripen A’s engine is. I haven’t watched too much dev server gameplay so I don’t really know, but if it’s anywhere close to the Viggen’s, more efficiency might be a game changer.
