This would be the single best change I can imagine alongside enduring confrontation being made into a mode that also included tanks and had a simulator variant.

I really want sim to have all its modes always available, have enduring confrontation as sim and historical matches :/

What do we do with Italy in that case? It’s a NATO member but the Hungary subtree should be on the Warsaw side.
I like it to be historical BR mathcmaking in those kinds on matches, so that Tigers and Shermans don’t fight 1950s French and Soviet equipment.
This is a pretty annoying issue. China also shows the same issue, as well as germany. Sweden too in WW2 (Finland is axis, Sweden is neutral with allied vehicles).
Best approach is making matchmaking rely on subtrees - west germany, italy, taiwan, sweden go to allies; mainland, east germany, hungary and finland go to axis(finland), warsaw (rest).
It’d also help improve sim if we could add the same logic there (you can only use vehicles within the permitted subtree).

Let the matchmaker stick to countries, and keep people out of match making if they carry countries of both sides. A lot of re-programming tho

nearly every match BRs are set to a disadvantage! so WHAT is the actual point! 86% YES EIGHTY SIX percent full uptiers +1br, out of 1000 matches monitored across different BRs and nations.!
So again WHATS THE POINT!
It just means that 6.0 - 7.0 is heavily populated not only by players but also vehicles in that same bracket. There are more vehicles in the 6.0 - 7.0 matchmaker than in 5.0 - 6.0 it seems.

I hated that unfun system back then, and I still hate it.
It caused imbalance as well.
Under-BR’d USA and Japanese aircraft because Japan could only face USA, which lowered USA stats as well.
Too restrictive for wanting to play with friends.
Too imbalanced as it causes stat imbalance in the records making balancing vehicles inherently more difficult.
That was part of what made tech trees unique and flavourful, and each tech tree having its own identity, purpose and playstyle was a huge part of the game. It was way better back then, everyone used to hate the mixed matchmaker, if you were around, and now Gaijin ruined it. But if you read carefully, the suggestion is to make it an option you can toggle.
Exactly. Now with the new nation flag implementation into MM, that could even be possible! For example if you take a line-up of only warsaw side Hungary, you get MM’d with soviets.
Neutral countries like Sweden & Switzerland should probably be on the side of whoever they were closest with so probably axis during ww2 tiers.
IF that area is heavily populated as you say… then there should be no darn excuse to have a level playing field… not every single f.n match uptiered.!!! Why is is never again 5.0s because Im pretty darn well sure theres enough of them!!!
Its a joke, a farce, there literally is NO POINT in having BRs, stick with ranks - you get what evers in there… because at the moment — 6.0 ISNT 6.0!
Same old russian bias as always - they often only ever get ,3 ,7 uptiers and quite a lot of even / downtiered.!!! its calculated and forced to give the advantage!! NOT SUPPRISED!
There’s no such thing as Russian bias, give that coping mechanism a break… if you look around, you’d realize you can come up with any excuse to call bias for any nation, and there have many excuses in the past to do so but it’s never been as popular as beating the same dead horse.
Russian 6.0 - 7.0 is average at best right now. I much prefer playing the US or Germany in that bracket.

The bias exists in the match making - being levelled or downtiered,
I monitored over 1000 matches covereing different nations etc! Russian is 100% set to an advantage!
China usually being the worst along with USA!
