Bring back hard to complete crafting events.

Events are much more friendlier to people who have jobs and families.
Only way they arent objective upgrade are when you want to sell vehicle, which in year of our lord 2025 simply doesnt work anymore because everyone wants to sell it.
The problems are that 1: you had to constantly log back onto the game just to start crafting new parts AFTER you’ve grinded the materials. 2: You weren’t guaranteed to get the materials you needed for the stupid parts which means you got to wait until tomorrow just to continue crafting one line.
Like you guys are literally sitting here going “Man, it was a lot more interesting when you had to grind 40k points like right now, but you had to wait and pray you got what you needed to avoid waiting more.”
That ain’t even mentioning the ones that gave you parts based off of play time in battle. With the score based events of right now at least I can grind faster just by being a better player in the game. Turn that forced 4 hours into 2

What interesting and exciting it was turning War Thunder from a game to play to a game to work. Don’t get me wrong the “Just don’t do it” line is fair but it is really fair, in a free-to-play game, when you had to pray for a box to give you what you needed and at the end of the day not every crafting event featured a good vehicle worth the trouble of going through all the event, with the new cycle is far more accessible, my only problem is that the newer event vehicles from the new cycle are very dry, no game changing vehicle, no new mechanic, no uniqueness.
You may counterargument that vehicles like the EFV gave a new approach but at the end of the day is a M3 Bradley without the missiles, in a larger platform with existing issues that Gaijin seems to refuse to fix, example is the steer issue that reduces by a lot your speed in the slighly turn. While I don’t see crafting events returning soon or ever, I would like to suggest a community movement in favour of better vehicles; instead of hoping for a good vehicle, why not request vehicle options that could be used as event vehicles in a poll during the three day hiatus, this not only could give more options but more voice to the community for the good of the game, if the vehicle options are not very interesting, suggesting one for the next cycle could be a option.
This is just my dose of Hopium for a better event vehicles cycle, better than the current one. Because I can’t disagree that the current and latest event vehicle additions are not very pleasant.

No, that type of event was awful. I don’t have the slovak T72 Moderna because of it, hold a lot of anger for not having… If gaijin were to bring back those events, I would have some very kind words to direct at them. So, no thanks. I’d rather spend hours grinding points than kill myself doing that.

Ground had been pretty dry as of late but I wouldn’t say the same for air. The F-106 has very quickly become one of my favorite planes to fly out and the Flapjack is pretty unique even if it’s not the best performer and a bit over BRed. The copypasta CAS event planes clearly meant for ground for over a year straight was stupid though.
I’ll have to agree with you there and correct myself, I wasn’t very clear as I was referring mostly on ground vehicles, which, if I recall correctly, Object 292 was the only or one of the few that stand out in quality over any other ground event vehicle. I found that airplanes had quite interesting lately but I can’t say the same for the earliest one in the new cycle, the ‘quality gap’ (or perhaps ‘content gap’) between the F-14A IRIAF and F-106 is pretty noticeable. As for naval is quite a middle term: you get high battle rating battle ships but at most is another battleship, I’m not pissed about it but it’s very repeating, wish for newer mechanics maybe through event vessels for naval, hopefully.
I ment to say is you can craft a rocket just the other ones like that but put it less of the grind
I Just don’t like to see cool event vehicles on the market is disgust to see that a tank for £2000 come on, world of tanks there are lots of stuff you can buy on war thunder market place how do get the is7 market place how do I get the object 279 market place is a joke thay are locking up half of the content behind a big pay wall and people are buying it just sad maybe this form is locked up behind a pay wall.

I can get these new events done in about 2-3 hours every two days and I don’t have to sweat so much as before. I remember how much it took to get the obj-279 back when thag event was on. I was only able to complete it due to being in lockdown because covid19 was happening. Without that I would not have had the time to finish it.

With crafting events I could at least get a low level prize with a casual effort. I had ‘something’ from them.
Now I have nothing.

back then if you didnt want the vehicle, you sold it and got something you want. And now they feed us the unusable events where to sell a vehicle you firstly need to sell your soul.
Then advocate for events with low level prizes and lower requirements. I still find it baffling the pancake plane was 35k score. With the BR of it it should have been 25-30k at most.
You had to sell your soul before to even get the vehicle. Now you only need to do it to sell it.

It would be great if we got some easier events for low tier things and maybe more downtime between events. If I remember right the older crafting events were more spread out throughout the year. Now you have like a week max before another event starts.

I know. I just cant be bothered to spend so much time with War Thunder.
With engineering events I had all the time to grind easy prize, not the two days intervals. And I could sell stuff on market; now only no lifes and botters can benefit.
