Brigand b1

why is the bomb sight on the brigand b1 so bad you can barely make it out when looking carefully for a few seconds … when its not missing entirely ?

It’s not really a great bomber anyway. Just load up some RP-3s, use those and your 4 cannons to hunt some bombers, easy kills and rp

Britain made bombers?

Lancasters? Avro Vulcan? Wellingtons?

they made some and proved to be efficient in their own way.

got to get to rp3 first they are tier 4 mods

it would be a lot better bomber ( along with a few other british bombers that suffer the same defect ) if you could rely on the bomb sight

Yes?

In fact Britian produced maybe some of the best bombers of the war.

Lancaster had a far larger bomb load than that of the B-17

The Mosquitto was small, fast and had the same bomb load of a B-17.

Between them, along with bombers like the Halifax and Stirling conducted highly effective night raids on Germany.

One rather notable incident was when a mosquitto raid took place pricely as both Göering and Goebbels were about to do speeches.

After the war, Aircraft like the Avro Vulcan proved to be highly capable, succesfully penetrating the US air defences and “dropping” nukes on American cities… Twice.

Not exactly true.

A standard B-17 on a long range raid did indeed carry a smaller load than a Lancaster. Weights would vary depending on bomb composition but 4000lb vs 8000lb wouldn’t be uncommon. However the B-17 could actually carry much more on short range missions, up to 17600lb using external racks. The Lancaster could only carry its 22000lb with non-standard modifications

The standard Mosquito bomber load was 2000lb comprising 4x 500lb (x6 = 3000lb with wing bombs), half the 4000lb typical of the B-17. Only those modified with big bellies could carry the 4000lb Cookie.
