Brake System Module

After trying to Google some information for a bit, I can’t really find any info regarding my question about this module. In real life I know that tanks apply throttle to both tracks equally and turn by applying brakes to one side or the other. Logically the Brake System module would help with turning, resulting in less speed loss while making minor adjustments or have better responsiveness to turning.

Does this apply to Gaijin code? If not, what tier 2 modules are the priority for researching. I know Improved FPE, Airstrike and Scout UAV are important, but what comes next in priority?

Hello, in reality, on tanks that use steering levers, you don’t brake with the brake pedal, you accelerate instead.
The steering levers brake one of the tracks at the transmission.
This makes it easier for the driver in tanks equipped with a steering wheel (already found on the Tiger I, AMX-30B2, Leclerc, and others). The steering wheel acts in the same way on the transmission.

The braking module improves braking performance (stopping the tank), which can potentially prevent a shot or missile from hitting you, for example. Personally, I don’t use it.

When prioritizing vehicle upgrade modules, I tend to upgrade the following first:

  • Repair kit,
  • Fire extinguisher,
  • A better Tier I or II shell, if possible,
  • Then the gun sight and elevation/traverse components,
  • Tracks,
  • Reinforcement crew or smoke grenades,
  • Next, the mobility modules,
  • And finally, the artillery.
