In the recent updates, Gaijin has made BR changes to multiple vehicles including the Panzer IV G and H variant, in which they were moved 0.3 BR higher. I do not see why Gaijin has done this, the Panzer 4’s performed just fine at their previous BR placement with no imbalance.

They were moved to help the russsian 2.7 line up.

Because they’re as strong if not stronger than the 75 Shermans that have 50mm on the UFP and the short barrel T-34/76.
(Don’t forget most of the meta first four nation mediums at 3.3 and 3.7 were moved and it isn’t just Germany!!)
Also 2.7 exists look at all the vehicles at that tier and tell me if you think that’s fair.

Dude, they were 4.0 / 4.3 (G and H) in the past and they were effective at their Battlerating. It’s a good change, the only thing to make better is their move in RANK 3 for Warbonds, same move for M24

No one was “nerfed”, and Soviets have among the weakest 2.7 lineup in the game as-is.
France has the strongest 2.7 lineup alongside USA and Britain, but even the best lineups struggled against 3.7s worse than 10.7s against BMPT.
2.7 has needed decompression for over 5 years.

the Pz IV G did need to go up, it was a sidegrade to the H, and upgrade over J (especially Italian one with the L/48 which got moved up to 4.0 with the H and J, and the H certainly did need to go up, having the best armour, and gun
Pz IV J was probably fine at 3.7, just because it plays like a sidegrade to the M10 GMC, with a good gun on an ok armoured hull, and terrible turret traverse (personally i would take the M10 over the Pz IV J in a majority of circumstances)
The Russian 2.7 Lineup is by far not bad, but it does lack a decent gun thats not on an awful platform (ZiS-30 and SU-57B are both awful platforms)
T-50, T-28E, and the GAZ-MM are all fairly good, (those 2.3s can be uptiered easily) when you consider most things have weak armour they absolutely kick,
By far a better 2.7 lineup than Italy and Sweden, its not the best lineup at 2.7, which either the USA or Britain has (though the british one isnt quite so good in a full uptier)
Russian 2.7 is probably middle of the pack generally
T-50 is excallent when you’re only fighting things with weak guns, no stabilisers, and low armour
the Suspension is too poor to get a proper snap-shot off, the 40-K is an ok gun, but like the 2pr and Kan m/38, they start becoming bad guns near that BR
A sherman is a Hard-Counter to the T-50, with its stab and M61 being able to go clean through it, while having the armour to resist the T-50 very well, and any player thats got some experience can dispatch of one easily through a mantlet shot

And lets be real, the KV-1 L-11 is just a worse T-34 in 80% of circumstances
also we can’t avoid Churchill I that has comparable armour at 3.3, or the Petard. Then there’s B1 Ter matilda II at 2.7 also has broadly comparable armour, at 2.7 itself (though B1 turret is a large weakspot)
thick armour that’s hard to pen isn’t unique to the Russians, and frontally, even many mediums have comparable armour, its just that the KV also gets great side armour (that the B1 Ter, Matilda and Churchill I also get)
