Boxer 3105 MGS: The worst event vehicle, my opinion

I will start reviewing vehicles, and this is the first one I’ll give a more extensive and less biased assessment for those who play with the vehicle:

The introduction:

Simply the worst event vehicle to date. For those who didn’t manage to acquire it, there’s not much to complain about – its performance is terrible. As a wheeled vehicle, its mobility is horrendous compared to others of the same type. If you have the option: sell it. There’s nothing to lose here, as the vehicle has little to offer or add to the game; it’s simply a waste of time.

The vehicle:

A distinctive feature of this vehicle is its size, comparable to or even larger than the TH800 “Goliath” Class 3 (P), which makes blending into the scenery and camouflage difficult, especially given the vehicle’s poor armor. It can’t withstand anything larger than a .50 caliber (12.7 mm) shot, which is already a downside at lower ranks but at Battle Rating 10.3, it’s like playing with an M56 Scorpion.

The vehicle can have decent survivability if the enemy doesn’t hit any critical modules – which is unlikely due to its massive silhouette. Camouflage is not an option. If you prefer speed, don’t even try; above 70 km/h (43.5 mph), the stabilizer becomes useless, so speed isn’t an option, and neither is armor. You can only consider this vehicle a Glass Cannon; I know many light tanks fit this category, but the Boxer 3105 MGS takes it to another level.

The gun and weapon controls, in general, are excellent, I can’t deny that, but that’s where the positives end. The vehicle has poor mobility and even worse maneuverability, so don’t try to flee from a dangerous situation. The three-second option to exit the vehicle will likely be among your three main choices, including: Exit the Vehicle (via the menu), Return to the Hangar, or simply not even include it in the Line-Up.

The gameplay:

Frustrating, not much else to say;

The vehicle is slow, has no maneuverability, a massive silhouette, and very little armor – the perfect recipe for disaster.

But if you want to try, I highly recommend keeping your distance from direct combat. Seek long-range shooting positions, be the Dirty Camper of the match, and make the most of the firing rate – which is the only redeeming feature of the vehicle. In city maps like Sweden or even open maps like Sands of Sinai, stay in motion as much as possible. The vehicle is very noisy, so the best choice is to keep moving.

The top speed is great, but nothing surprising for a wheeled vehicle – it’s actually just necessary. Consider this as a chance to gain some advantage. Try to capture strategic points before the enemy, get the valuable points, move out, and let the rest of the team deal with any threats. Take a defensive position and offer long-range fire support. Don’t engage in a fight but wait for it to come to you; the Boxer 3105 MGS is not the kind of vehicle that can initiate a confrontation and come out victorious. Try to set up ambushes, take advantage of allies engaged in active combat, and provide support.

This is the best you can do with this vehicle.

The verdict:

Useless and frustrating. I don’t recommend playing with it.

  • Final rating: ~3.83/10
Considering the following criteria:

Firepower: 9/10 (the only positive factor, the Cockerill 3105 modular system has high firepower and excellent control – agile and responsive. Not unique but worth noting here)

Mobility: 5/10 (good top speed, on par with other wheeled vehicles at this Battle Rating, and it handles well on solid ground – nothing special)

Maneuverability: 2/10 (like other wheeled vehicles, maneuverability is lacking, considering reverse speed and turning radius)

Armor: 2/10 (unable to withstand heavy machine gun shots above .50 caliber [12.7 mm])

Camouflage Capability: 1/10 (very large silhouette, unable to blend into the environment, also very noisy)

Miscellaneous: 4/10 (a long-range shooter type vehicle – a Sniper, and it’s good in that regard)

That makes 0 sense, its a cv90 105 of wheels. Sure it may be taller, (thx to the German “amazing design”) but you can still control teams with that 5 sec reload. Has a great round too, so doesnt lack pen.

Certified skill issue

One of the characteristics of the CV90105 is the mobility and size, it’s a fast vehicle capable of leaving a spot with much ease than the Boxer 3105 MGS or the CT-CV90105 or anything on wheels at this BR range.

You can apply the CV90105 in most scenarios but not the same to the Boxer 3105 MGS. As I mentioned, it’s only good as Sniper vehicle, and yes, the firepower is good but you’re saying this as the whole vehicle were good, when the armor, mobility and maneuverability was a aspect that didn’t affected the vehicle performance.

The only similarity to the CV90105 the Boxer 3105 MGS has is the fire control system. Overall both vehicles has nothing else similar to each other, the gameplay is another and the characteristics is different.

I mean, if u want speed and maneuverability, the rad 90 is a much better choices, this is more of a lay back and snipe ppls with gen 3 thermal and dm63 (hence the event name mobile sniper i guess). Good enough as a backup spawn for my 10.7 lineup so can’t complain.

CV 90105 is much more mobile which is pretty important, especially for a light vehicle. It’s on tracks as well so it can maneuver better than the big wheelie boy.
Of course, it has a slightly worse round and gun handling but better mobility and smaller size definitely are a big help. In my opinion Boxer MGS is decent, but CV fits in much better to the game as a light vehicle.

Not so amazing if it has 18.9 HP/t at 10.3, where even some MBTs will be able to keep up with you and other light tanks will beat you to the spots every time.

I kinda think of this thing as a sidegrade to the CT-CV 105 that Sweden got
