Mortar and shells are complete different designed than iron bombs… Iron bombs have a much thicker cast hull for example
Sorry miss didn’t know calling someone my guy or my bro is gay
Mate! You finally got it:
That is the core issue: Artificially increased hit probability
If the phalanx is able to intercept munitions BECAUSE the projectiles it fires are able to make contact with the incoming munition.
Then IF by SOME fat chance, someone manages to do the same by a fluke in game, it is also realistic because the mechanism is the same.
Its unlikely the shell of 500lb iron bomb is thick enough to stop a 20mm AP round
So youre saying most people are using aimbot?
Because thats the only way to increase hit probability other than the hand of gaijin guiding each and evrry individual bullet lol
Since I dont see whenever OP meant ARB or GRB, im just gonna say that when it comes to GRB thats entirely dependent on player.
But it won’t explode by one hit from a 20mm in the cast hull
Last i checked, inert steel doesnt explode.
The EXPLOSIVE filler, packed inside the steel, does.
Next one with no knowledge about how dumb bombs work…
Only if 500lb bombs were filled by some sort of explosive. Oh well.
My point stands regardless of the strawman u pulled.
There so many bombs from WW 2 in the ground of europe, which where found during construction works, hit by an excavator for example and they magically don’t explode normaly, only when the hit the detonator. So shooting with 20mm withoit hiting the detonator won’t explode it, they are not filled with nitroglycerin…
Do you think dumb bombs have nothing inside?
Or maybe you think a bullet cannot ignite the explosive?
Because oh boy…
As i recall, those bombs lack the start of a spark, which causes a chain reaction within the explosive filer.
As long as that spark does not happen.
No explosion happens
Here ww2 planes with 20mm cannons intercepting a V1 which is literally an iron case flying bomb, withjust wings and an engine
Im sure if we were to look up the explosive filler in 500lb US bomb we could find if it could be detonated by gunfire or not.
Mostly TNT is used in Iron Bombs
Which is ignited by!!!
A simple spark
LOL, you made my day…
At 80°C TNT starts melting, and it starts to become a gas only above 160°C at longer time…
That’s why you have a detonator in the dumb bombs, without nothing will happens. Go back to school and learn some chemistry…
