Attack aircraft and bombers both suffer for no good reason because of War Thunder’s current balance in this post I’ll be ideas about what needs to be improved to make bombers more broadly viable in my opinion.

Most obvious would be the damage models as currently even a short burst can very easily completely take a bomber out of a fight, even if the attacking plane only has 2 rifle caliber MGs and a single 20mm with how WT is currently played, each bomber needs to essentially represent an entire formation and be tanky if anything, not absurdly fragile as they are now

Defensive gunners also need to be improved both in AB and RB since their current range is just absurdly bad especially for a normal player that doesn’t have particularly high level crews, I’d suggest doubling their range and keeping their current accuracy or slightly improving it

Finally(for now at least) bombers, particularly those with poor climb rates for their BR, need to spawn much higher since even lower rank fighters can often out climb them, catch them, and because of the previous issues, kill them easily, so for this I’d suggest having single engine bombers spawn at about 15,000ft above ground level(AGL), 2 engine bombers at about 20,000ft AGL, and 4 engine bombers at about 30,000ft AGL
